My dad also successfully lowered his cholesterol and blood pressure being vegan, so I do agree it can happen. Forks over Knives however is an extremely biased documentary, like all of them on Netflix. There is propaganda on both sides. Eat good whole food, and if you want to eat dairy and meat, great, if you don't, great.

No, not any of those. One of my favorite youtubers did Raw till 4 and she said she liked it better switching to a 60/20/20 HCLF vegan lifestyle because she said the RT4 made her retain too much water weight. As I am not vegan or any of these things I can't tell you from personal experience, but you should look up…

I'm about 615 over, but over the week I made sure to eat as well as I could so it actually evens out. Still feel guilty and gross though.

Any sort of Mediterranean food. GUH. Yummy.

The "naughty" was me being playful, haha, I don't actually consider them naughty. It's not really the hassle of logging, I honestly really enjoy the act of logging, I've been doing it for over a year. The problem is that now that I'm under my goal, the logging is becoming an unhealthy trigger where it becomes a game of how…

This is extremely insightful, thank you so much. I guess I had it in my mind that #2 would help aide #1, but I'm seeing that it may not necessarily be the case.

5 hours? What? from 21-0430? That's 7.5 hours. Already seeing a professional. Will listen, thank you!

This is the goal, I 100% agree. Not planning to go completely one way or the other. Just meant majority. Yeah, that does make sense, and I agree with you. I love food too! A lot. Which, I know sounds weird considering my issues with it, but I don't know. I guess I'm just looking for a way to ease back into intuitive eating…
-
Meat isn't naughty, I was just being playful with that one, haha. Hmmm, this is true. I mean, I know all of it is true. I just really want to find a way to quit logging and learn how to eat intuitively without stressing out over it all the time, you know?

I have been talking to a professional, actually, although I'm not certain it's doing much, simply because I am aware of the problem and my reasons and my feelings, especially since I've gone through it before, if that makes sense. I can 100% see what you mean about it making it worse, but, in my mind, I was thinking that…

Haha they have been bad enough for me to manage fitting in Taco Bell and pizza into my weekend... I ended up buying a jar of natural peanut butter to have healthy fats and it's satisfied some of the urges to run out and binge eat all the Wendy's etc! Haha
-
I think you're right, ugh, it sucks!

I do try to eat back all my exercise calories, or at least 90% since I'm not trying to lose anymore. I'm due for my period next week so I'm sure that has something to do with it. I was at 50% carbs, 30% fat and 20% protein apparently, I think it must have reset somewhere down the line cos that wasn't what I had originally…

I run and lift and do Zumba, I'm at about 19% body fat at the moment which is kinda where I wanna stay, between 18-19%.
-
That's a good idea. I might do that, I'm due for a checkup soon anyway. :)
-
Since Thanksgiving, so yeah for the most part. Part of me wondered if eating so much then made me want to keep eating all the carbs and fat I had that weekend hahaha.
-
Thank you! And you are so right. Fast food is SO addictive, I've had it occasionally throughout my weight loss, I always try to make sure that it fits within my macros and stuff, but even then, it's hardly ever worth the craving or the guilt afterwards!
-
Hah, mine is too, so that could definitely be it, it's just never happened to me before! Haha!
-
I loved this quote so much that I put it in my bullet journal to remind myself every day.
-
Hmmm... possibly! I haven't been paying close attention, but it is the holiday season! Food is on everyone's minds, and not the healthy sort either!
-
Haha, this is very true. Though I suppose being enabled is nice too! ;) If it continues any longer I'll for sure make an appointment.
-
This is true! I suppose I'm thinking in terms of nutrient density and quality ingredients. But you are right! 300 calories is still 300 calories whether it's from beer, lean chicken breast or greasy burger.
-
Yeah, I'm sure, it's the first thing I checked on when I was thinking "hmmm... I'd kill for a hot dog right now... but... I f-cking HATE hot dogs... but still... HOT DOG NOW." Hahaha. I find carbs (at least the complex carbs in whole wheat and carby fruits for fiber) are my best friend for getting energized for my work…
-
I was thinking about that too. I really appreciate your kind words, I have been working very hard. ^^
-
Nope! Not at all, although it seems as if anything I eat other than what I'm craving just doesn't measure up... haha. And I've been looking back through my diary and I haven't been low in fat, I hit it or go just a little over ever time, and that's still at 25%. I suppose I could try to raise that to 30 and lower carbs to…

That's really good advice. Haha, yesterday my husband brought me home Taco Bell since I'd been craving a Crunchwrap all week and I'm not going to lie, it was glorious. It fit within my macros and everything, so I didn't feel super guilty about it, but... here I am today dying for a grilled cheese and I don't even like…

Ah, I misunderstood. As for how many calories I should be eating I go by MFP, I'm sorry for the confusion. As for how many calories I've burned, I trust Fitbit. I have my accounts synced so that they talk to each other and give me back the appropriate exercise calories back into my diet.
-
That sounds AMAZING! I'm going to have to try that.
-
My husband gags every time he sees me mix peas and carrots into non-fat cottage cheese. I LOVE it though, it's such a good macro-friendly snack! One that I loved long before I started counting, as well.
-
I tend to go by the Fitbit calories, assuming you have one with a HR monitor. It's much less than the MFP calories, but I'd rather underestimate than overestimate. Plus, if it tracks your heart rate, the fitbit will be more accurate at assuming your exertion levels doing the exercises.
