  • Under/over eating is not about the food. An ED support group might be useful. MFP is great for tracking and awareness. I've been in your shoes.
  • That office food is soooo maddening...junkie food is interesting in that most of it is not my fav but when I really just must have what I love, I consciously include it into my day as long as I don't do it constantly or dishonestly.
  • 2 years seems long but the last 2 years went by so fast!! MFP is a great tool for awareness. I also like The Psychology of Eating. It's online, YouTube, or podcast. Very insightful stuff. Keep on, one day at a time.
  • Be kind to yourself; one day at a time, & your spelling etc is fine.
  • My jeans. MY JEANS are expensive!! When buttoning them after holidays, they did not cooperate. We both knew who to blame so we are going to get that waist back. Besides, if I do this gain every holiday, it's not gonna be good.
  • Sorry about how you struggle with this; it does make life unmanageable. Admitting your problem is positive, and since you ask, find a local 12-step in your area, or overeaters anonymous. Binge eating is linked to other life struggles and can be overcome with great success. You are not alone. I go to a 12 step to help me…
  • You all are an amazing lot! Come to the north sea.
  • Since it seems confusing, and might not feel right to you, what I do is log what I eat so that I consume enough calories, THEN I log in my exercise. Of course, the numbers change, and I read that I can consume more if I want but for me, I do NOT want to do that because the science behind the method does not support…
  • My goal for the holidays was not (NOT!) To gain but 1 pound. On January 1st, on the scale I stood, and peeking down below was not only a 1 but a 9 (yes,9!!) pound gain. Enter myfitnesspal. My sister uses this with great success so that day I decided. And why not? All my homemade almond roca, fruitcake, cookie gifts, and…
  • Sounds yummy! I juice carrots, apples, celery, ginger, and citrus every two days (2 quarts) for family, and because I get lazy, I mix my juice in a jar with hemp protein and flax meal, shake & drink. On other days it's Vita-Mix time with frozen bananas & whatever else sounds good. Some days there's just nothing I like…
  • To love who I have, what I have, and to have fun.
  • So much said here, mostly positive; hope you have had time to read it all, and hope you find your groove soon. You have the desire and the obvious intelligence.
  • To want what I already have.
  • A lot said on this topic!! I'm a 58 year old woman who just wants to lose 9 pounds. I know what to do, myfitnesspal helps me do it, and I have never taken calories burned into account; I just figure my body knows best, and if I feel weak, an apple or a few nuts fixes me up just fine. The process is interesting, and I am…
  • It takes time to record what I'm eating but I like the organized process. Yesterday was successful enough; skipped the rice at the party, skipped drinking, avoided extras, which is why I have the extras on my small frame. Extras. Ugh! I like to eat. Of course. But I look around and see it is a good idea to use my stop…
