I've just downloaded the Libra app for this exact reason. My weight can jump up by 4lb overnight sometimes more and although I know its because I've eaten something carb heavy/high in sodium or its to do with monthly hormone changes it still freaks me out! Hoping this app can give me some peace, the scales drive me…

This is your journey. Your body. Your choices. Personally if an old friend of mine was behaving in such a way I'd let them have their say, acknowledge their opinion and then politely tell them to keep it to themselves! I have only told very close family members that I'm using mfp to avoid unwanted advice. Sorry you're…

I feel like i need to log to be in control but yes it has become very tedious. Not just for me but for the people close to me who watch me scan boxes/packets & look for foods on the mfp database. Only a handful of people know I use mfp for tracking daily and they are supportive but I guess they see me getting fed up with…

@gebeziseva I'm also 5'7 but I was around a stone heavier than you when I started. My weight gain was purely through gluttony, i had a particularly stressful 18-24 months and found myself eating for comfort. I've tried not to set myself a target date for reaching my goal weight. I've taken the slow & steady route by…

Do you sometimes feel like you should have lost more? I've taken to the success forum but looking at the before and after pics can make me feel like I'm not doing enough myself and that my changes should be more noticeable/drastic. I'm not knocking 2st 6lb cos I know I've done well to shift that much & keep it off! I wish…

I allowed myself a few days off over Christmas where I didn't count calories at all and I managed to gain 3lb! I would guess that I was way over maintenance but must admit that it did me well emotionally to stop with the logging and just enjoy what I was eating. I don't have much control unless I'm keeping track. I do a…

Belly. It's bitter sweet because I have my c-section scar from the birth of my gorgeous girl so i love that part but at the same time I can't seem to shift stubborn belly fat and it causes me masses of grief. I love food. My belly is proof!

Something as simple as a big chunk of cheddar on thick white crusty bread with best butter can bring so much joy! Or a good brie on thick cut french stick and a few grapes. Or mozzarella with vine tomatoes and black olives. Before mfp that would be my weekend treat. Not so much now I'm calorie counting. Jesus now I want…

I'm a self confessed cheese *kitten*! Extra mature cheddar, brie, buffalo mozzarella are my favourites. I recently tried a strong cheddar with walnuts from a local farm shop it was amazing. Love cheese.

I've been too thin. I've been overweight. Now I'm somewhere in between and find it hard to recognise how I'm feeling about my new shape. The only way I've been able to be accepting of it is to try completely new things, stuff that's exclusive to me now that I never did at 8 stone or at 13 stone and its given me a whole…

Hi, I'm 37 although mentally I think I've been stuck at 27 for the last 10yrs. Been on mfp for almost a year now :)
