I turn 50 in April by the BMI chart I'm obese. I need to drop out of that category. I've spent all of my 40's rehabbing surgeries fixing the damage I did in my 20's and 30's. I'm rehabbing a shoulder now it still has a few months to go. I think going into my 50's I'm going to reasess my training and my risk versus reward.

I'm 49 I had a orthopedic surgeon tell me one day I will have to pay the piper but I was young and didn't care. He couldn't have been more right I've spent most of my 40's repairing the damage I did in my 20's and 30's. I'm still active but just slower and a little more concerned about the conciquences Anyone can add me.

"Has anyone tried intermittent fasting" The worst isn't a saying it's listing housework, yard work, shopping or something like walking for 10 minutes as a workout.

I have had seven knee surgeries plus the injections and everything else. I've always used swimming to help my recovery. As soon as I got the ok from my surgeon I was straight to the pool. leajas1 taking a class is a good idea you'll benifit a lot from it over trying to figure it out on your own.

I wear TYR velocity goggles with my contacts. I have been swimming for 20 years and never had any problems.

My 40's have been full of surgeries repairing the damage I did in my 20's and 30's. Now everything I do is a compromise of what I would like to do.

I have been a member at the YMCA for over 20 years and have done a lot of classes. Just go and do a class. Everyone is a beginner at some point you'll be fine ☺

I've been trying to out train a bad diet for a long time and was pretty sucesfull at it till I destroyed my knees. Now I need to fix the diet part which it is a lot harder to reduce calories then it is to do the workouts to burn the calories for me.

I swim around four times a week. I have been swimming for twenty years. I have been doing more sprints lately and have not been concerned with distance. I feel I get a better workout going against the clock instead of the odometer.

Swimming, Mountain Biking, Road Biking, Dirt Bike Riding, Weight Training, and various pieces of cardio equipment. I mostly swim right now. I hate swimming but it burns a lot of calories. I usually wished I would have never learned to swim by the end of every workout.

I ride road when it's nice out and have taken to mountain biking when it's colder out. But I don't train for anything anymore. I just ride because I enjoy riding.

I use to be a runner but after a knee replacement I switched to swimming and cycling depending on the season. I do miss the simplicity of just going for a run.
