  • Good luck and welcome to keto! I started on it about 3 1/2 months ago, and I feel it’s working well for me. I hope you experience the same. I DEFINITELY notice my scale jumping up and down. For me it always has to do with water. After tracking daily for so long I can somewhat predict the change, and that helps because I…
  • I usually tell people ‘I’m on a special diet.’ That usually stops the food pushing. I’m sure they assume it’s medically mandated, and that’s okay with me. I’ve tried just saying ‘I’m on a diet’ before, and that doesn’t always stop them.
  • Don’t give up! A 1lb loss is still a loss, and that’s something to celebrate. Possible factors of not losing more: -The closer you are to your goal weight, the slower weight comes off. - The amount you’re eating. I know keto doesn’t focus on counting calories, but for me personally I had to keep track. My problem was both…
  • Same as Jaynee7283 - I eat back about 20-30%.
  • I take Fucothin. I started taking it at the same time I started exercising and restricting calories. I think it's helping a little because I've been dropping 1.5-2lbs/week, but I can't be 100% sure it's not just my diet and exercise.
  • I agree with cmjohnson53. It's probably water weight. Sometimes when I 'cheat' and consume a lot of carbs, alcohol, or salty processed foods I'll gain a 1-3 lbs overnight. It usually goes away in a couple days.
  • Hi! I'm relatively new here, too. Had 110 lbs to lose originally, and now have 81 left to drop. I started my plan (again) mid January of this year. Feel free to add me. I haven't really begun to add friends yet, and I'm just now starting to look into these community forums. I like the idea of support!
  • Weekends are SUCH challenge for me, too! :/ ^^ But this is spot on. You've got to keep going. And try to do better next weekend. It usually helps me if I plan out my consumption before I go out or splurge. I'm much more likely to not go too crazy that way. And like kkibbles said, try to pre plan the next day and have those…
  • Yes, ignore them. It's not easy. But it's still the easiest option. I have gotten all kinds of opinions and advice. Most people are well meaning, but that doesn't make them right. I used to argue. And then I started trying to persuade. But either way I'd just end up frustrated. Now I just thank people for their advice. As…
  • I agree that the beginning is hard and everything takes some time to get used to! My calorie goal is 1200, too. I eat back about half of my exercise calories. My diet consists of a lot of veggies. I also love egg whites, low fat cheese, chicken breast, and fruit.
