I'm 190, been eating at a deficit for about 20 days, lost 4.5 pounds. I'm trying to weigh 150 and look lean by July.

1,560 is my calorie goal. I eat back what I burn off, I usually have anywhere from 200-50 calories that I don't eat back. I eat nutritious foods! I think I stared with a goal that was too aggressive for my body, now that you mention it!

Praise Jesus for people like you, the Internet is a rough place to find reputable information. So by strict do you mean that keto is your dietary lifestyle? It's not something you can do for a few months to lose quick weight?

From my research cyclic suggests that you prepare your body to go into ketosis for about 3 days, then reintroduce healthy carbs for a week or so and repeat. How is your weight loss?

This was great! I know I have a very toned body under this extra weight, I'm very strong! I just can't seem to get the fat to melt away with about 80% lifting and 20% cardio. So both comments above helped me out! Guess I'll start doing more cardio and running! Thanks :)

It's not that I rely on strength training to burn calories, I know that..I was just wondering why it doesn't show that aspect of your caloric expenditure, but thanks for your input! :)

I've been strength training for about a month now 5 days a week. My thighs feel more firm and my triceps are also more defined. Nothing super defined, yet. It takes a long time to see definition though, especially if you are overweight like I am. That fat needs to melt away before you can really start to see definition.…
