Well, I don't want to lift like super heavy where I need a spot. I've just been told I need to invest in a bench press. Obviously I don't know a lot about what I need. I just need something that's going to help build muscle in lower body really.

I've already began. I've been using dumbbells at home and increasing weights as I go. Seen amazing progress in my upper body and core. Super exciting

Thank you everyone. I'll look into the book for sure. Just wish the lower part of my body would change as quickly as the top part. I've been eating at maintenance level for the past month. I still have 10lbs I want to lose tho.

I know this is a dumb question, but how do you keep increasing weight...? I mean I started with 5 lbs, still doing thise. Still seeing results after a few months. I cold move up to 8lbs and then my 10lbs but I mean what happens after that? Can you get toned and stay toned with same excercises and dumbell weights?

I'm not worried about stretch marks. It's the loose skin/fat I'm trying to figure out how to reduce if possible. I've already got the damage 2 kids, gained 90 lbs with first and 87 with 2nd. Damage has been done. And yes all creams lotions and oils are a waste of $. Any doc will tell ya that ;)

Yes, Google it never heard of the term til this post. But I'm on day 4 since first time I worked out using dvd and still ALL my muscles are sore to the touch! I had to take a break last night. I did zumba instead of dvd.

Wpuld I be better off doing Like 30 mins cardio (I love cardio) and then 30 mins of weights? Just basic stuff like mentioned above with my dumbbells? Or should I stick with dvd

Well I went about losing weight all wrong. Dropped my cals to 1200 a day. So I list 40 lbs in a little over 3 months. Thank you for your advice. I put it MFP for a 1 lb a week loss and it only added 70 cals to my limit... that's crazy! When I put in 1/2 a lb it went up to 1520! Why such a HUGE difference. Yes. I was at 1200 already and then ate 2 oreos so I was at 1340 give or take... So then I burned 150 on elliptical

I use my heart rate monitor to determine how many I burned. I know it's not exact bit it's better than what the machine will tell me. ;)

I work out 30 mins to hour 5 times a week. Zumba, elliptical, jogging, walking, jillian michaels dvd. I log it all. I always end my day wi th 1200 cals. I either go over and work it off or if I have cals left over I eat.

I'm on 1200 limit too. I think I need to switch to 6 small meals a day instead of 3. Cuz I do get hungry between then now. I've lost 40 lbs since jan 21st. It's starting to slow down tho and starting to get hungry

My cal intake limit is so low. It's hard to fit it in, so I do have to work for "treats".

Well, whenever I craved sweets I'd have a little but then burn it off. But then I recently saw some thing where a woman said it's not the same and that's no way to lose weight. O and no I end the day with 1200 cals no matter what. Of I eat over I burn the extra off. If have cals to spend d I definitely eat them lol
