I see amazing results in my abs. I'm 31 years old and have never had abs like this, not even in my super fit cheering/dancing days! My arms and shoulders have also never been this defined before, it's crazy and sooooooo exciting. However, my butt... poor sad little thing... I am a skinny fat girl in recovery. I lost 40 lbs in like 4 months. Was eating get bout 1000 cals a day. Scales dropped and so did my butt :(
I'm seeing some muscle getting built in my thighs for sure, but my butt still has like no muscle. I do deep squats, lunges, bridges. I do everything at home and with dumbbells. What else can I do to tighten this all up?

Are you eating at maintenance now? It will take time (months+) to build your glutes and I suggest eating at least at maintenance for it. Strong Curves is a great program. 3 out of 4 of the programs are full body and all of the programs have a lower body/glute focus. One of the programs is bodyweight only plus there is a huge reference section where you can find substitute exercises if you don't have the equipment you need for the exercises listed in the programs. I highly suggest getting the book, reading it in its entirety, and following through on it.

I would encourage you to focus more on your overall health and recovery. Don't worry about your butt. It will develop in due time with a balanced program.

I started strong curves a month ago and also recommend giving it a try. It's a great book that teaches you how to actually get your glutes activated. I can't say I've seen a major change so far (only been a month) but I have noted the feeling when I really get those muscles working. The book does stress that results don't come overnight though. Time and persistence are what will get you (us) there.

Thank you everyone. I'll look into the book for sure. Just wish the lower part of my body would change as quickly as the top part. I've been eating at maintenance level for the past month. I still have 10lbs I want to lose tho.

Slow down, find a proven program and develop more patience.

You losing the fat around your arms and abs is great. Now you see your posterior isn't so uplifting. Changing your body for the good or bad doesn't happen over night.

Recomps aren't for everyone because they take longer. Give it time.
