Yes you are correct - if produced in France it is Champagne. The OP suggested it was narrowed down further to just the Champagne region (no disrespect towards OP intended here), which could potentially discount Dom Perignon and that just won't do.

I beg to differ on the champagne argument. Dom Perignon is produce in Hautville in Northern France, although technically in the champagne region it is a grey area; and is the absolute dom of champagne. Yes I said dom and not don because it makes me its *kitten*. Sigh. Lightweight here.

Every year I buy sweets for trick or treaters, knowing full well they cant access my property unless they're accomplished trespassers. If you see me gain any weight at the end of October mind ya business.

So sorry Chris. I lost my Grandad to dementia last year and it was so hard seeing him go from a lively independent man to someone who didn't recognise his own family. Your dad is so lucky to have you and your family there to support him. Keeping you all in my thoughts.
