  • I haven't ran since Friday. Have had a head cold and just so tired. I was up to 3-4 mile runs. Hoping to get back at within the next couple days. Scared of falling off the wagon! :(
  • Just keep doing the program. Your speed with increase as you build your endurance. That is what I was told, and so far it is true. I hate to even admit, but I was at an 18 min mile when I started the program, and now I am between an 11/12 min mile depending on how far I am running. I've been running for about 4 months now,…
  • Since moving on to the 10K program I have noticed my shorter distances are quicker. I am not fast by any means. My endurance is a lot better. Keep up the great work everyone!
  • I've started the c210k app. I've completed D2 of the first week (which is w9d2, continued from c25k). It has been run 10 mins and walk 1min x4. Feels great! I took this on after numerous people on here said it would increase my run time of my 5k. We will see!
  • 9.38 min/mile last night. Did 3 miles! I can't believe that time!! I've gradually become a lot faster the last few runs.
  • Well, last night I measured the distance with my vehicle and it was .2miles. I measured with my Fitbit and it was right on target. I watched the Rundouble as it tracked and it kept glitching, for approx 6 sec intervals. By the time I was done my Fitbit said 2.58 miles and the Rundouble said 2.10. Planning on running in…
  • I wish we had better service. The Rundouble and MMR gps both cut out On me I think. Hoping to get to run in town after work one day this week and see how the gps does and see how far I can make it!! Great job btw!!
  • Tried Rundouble but thinking my signal/service here isn't good enough for it to track appropriately. I did time my run by my Fitbit and it said 3.12 miles in 38 mins. I'm thinking that's pretty accurate bc I've measured the area before. Sooooo I'm happy! Still have to improve my time. I'm thinking the hill work has really…
  • And if I am reading your weekly report right, you ate most of the calories you burned. You only had 2700 ( can't remember the exact amount) that you had as an OUT. So, how much did your weight change last week? It would have been approx .5-.75 lbs I would assume. And that weight loss could be hid by water retention or…
  • I have had a charge HR since March I think. I find it more accurate the last 2 months. It has been spot on with my weight loss within 100 calories out the last few weeks. I trust mine. Like others have posted there are a lot of variabilities depending on what type of activity you are doing. Movement of your arm during non…
  • I had a few headaches last week when I ate less than 1600 calories. So I upped them back up and they disappeared. So. I will just stick to less than 1750 on average. Headaches suck. Hit my lowest of 207.6 Friday on my weekly weighin. That was awesome. I log daily weight, which keeps me motivated. I saw 209 this morning.…

  • @NancyN795 so awesome!! I've been working on the hills to build my endurance the last 4 runs. So I think today I will try and stay on the flatter section and see how far I Can get. I have yet to make it a full 5k. So hoping today will be the day!! Awesome job!!
  • @juliet3455 That is about what I have been doing. So, that's good! I find myself making it further up the hills while running. Its exciting!
  • Great job everyone!! Hoping to get a run in tonight. However, it looks like its going to rain all afternoon until 8/9 pm.
  • Aggghhh Bounced back up to 212 on Saturday. Back down to 210.2 today. I know I went over cals a couple days last week. SOOOOO new mini goal is to be under 1575 for 5 out of 7 days and to be under 1800 for the other 2 days. Yesterday started this mini goal for me.

  • @rph2t I know that feeling and love it! Its like "hmmmm I'm moving a long well and its pretty easy! I think I can go a while!" Yesterday I decided to try out the Rundouble app for distance and managed 2miles with hills, I did have to power walk back up one of the hills and take a quick 15 second breather near the end a…
  • I wouldn't start over. Start back where you left off and if you have to repeat them do it. Just what I would do. I was out for 2 weeks and was able to pick up where I left off on week 3. Thanks Nancy! So, I am kind of taking this as start doing the hill during my run even if I have to walk it?? I've walked up it twice and…
  • Completed the program today!! However I am only at 2.53 miles in 30 mins. So I will keep working for another week then move on the the 10k trainer like others have suggested. We live in a mountain and I've just being running a small piece that is not too up hill in front of our house. I want to make it up the hills but…
  • So awesome!!! Only 2 more pounds to go before I hit my 40lb mark! What a way to celebrate!! Congrats!
  • W8D2 DONE!! My evening runs are the best! So glad I found this group!
  • @taeliesyn thank you so much!! I will do this! I am working towards W8D2...I tried to do it this morning, however I could not even make it 15 mins straight! I now remember why I HATE running in the mornings. I have NO energy and my MIND wins EVERY time! Blah. No first of the morning running for me. I've found any time…
  • 209.4! Made my mini goal! To be less than 210! Next mini goal is to be 205 or less by July 13th, our first day of vacation!

  • W8d1 done!!!! Yes!!! I attempted last night, but stopped at 22 mins. Mind over matter! My running part (the 28 mins) was 2.28 miles. So, I am half a mile short as to the distance it suggest. My pace is getting faster. For sure. So excited to be able to run 30 mins nonstop in a few days!! So unbelievable how fast this…
  • Careful. I thought the same thing and ended up out for 2 weeks unable to run.

  • I feel the same way. I just want to improve my time of the 5k. Everything I read says to work toward a 10k and your time will improve. I don't want to do that! Then, I have also read to do intervals? Sprint for 1 minute, recover for 30, repeat. I am supposed to do my W8D1 today. My knee is a little "off" today. I had some…
  • Thank you so much for this! We have an eliptical type machine (Bowflex M5 Trainer). I will plan on doing that and some weights on my off days. I keep saying I am going to start a weight routine and just keep putting it off b/c I love being outside so much! But, starting tomorrow, I will make this my new routine. I am…
  • Second try and got through W7D1!! I knew i could do it!! At what point can you run consecutive days in a row? My legs never feel like they need to recover the day after a run, but I guess you can't go by "feeling"? I know lots of people who run daily and have for years. A couple of times I have ran in the morning then the…
  • So disappointed in myself. W7D1 I made it 22 mins and gave up!!!! As I walked back up the driveway to the house I knew I could have made it 3 more minutes. Was actually making my best time yet. Avg pace was 15 mins/mile! I know that's not fast to a lot of you, but for me it was. When I looked down right before stopping I…
