Thanks for all the fabulous ideas. I've already tried several!

Hi Nessa. Is today your first day? Welcome aboard. What are you working on? I'm tackling a weight regain of about 50 lbs (down 21 since December) and committed to changing my attitude and accepting this as a "lifestyle" and not a "diet." I wish you success. Please feel free to friend me. Have a good night.

Good for you Mimi. It's tough to be a single parent, I know. Excellent on making the commitment and starting young. I'm 55 (or soon to be) and I've struggled with weight for much of my life. I'm no quitter though. LOL. I'm doing well on my journey this time because like you, I'm embracing a mindset of this isn't a "diet"…

It is helpful to know what your goals are, where you are now, and where you want to be. It's important to remember that this is a process. I didn't get this way overnight, and I'm sure as heck not going to hit my goal overnight either. Moreover, I am choosing to embrace this as a lifestyle choice for me. So I'm never "bad"…

I know mine so specifically, but only because I had bariatric surgery 12 years ago, and initially I wasn't able to eat enough protein. My doctor and dietician said to shoot for 70 grams at least in a day. I am about 40 lbs. from goal right now. I think these limits/goals are suggestions for the average person. You can…

I like to remind myself that I didn't get this way overnight, so why should I expect to reverse it in a day or even a week? It's the overall picture and goal of improving health and feeling better about my success at controlling food and not letting food control me. I'm on always successful, but I'm always trying and that…

Every day, every minute of every day, every second of every day is a chance to get back on track if you trip. It's not the end of the world if you slip up. One slip up need not turn into an entire day of bad choices is how I choose to look at it. Plus, I remind myself that I surely didn't get this way in a week, so why…

Has anyone dried apples in the oven? They are pretty crispy and sweet -- especially if you had some cinnamon or cinnamon and sugar. It doesn't take much to flavor the apples a lot.

I agree with juanjm1978. Grazing is my downfall if I'm not careful, I'm waaaay over by the day's end. It's also important to put the app on your phone or tablet so you can be accountable each time you eat something. I didn't always like what I saw, but I also didn't like feeling like I failed because I was "being so good."…

I do all my recipes in Google Docs/Google Drive so I can easily share them and use them wherever I am. I tried uploading a couple in here, but when I click on the open button, it tells me it won't work. Am I doing something wrong?

I love frozen grapes, pineapple, and peaches. As they soften a bit, they have a creamy, almost ice cream like texture. Today my granddaughter kept stealing mine as I was snacking and I had to whine to her mom to get her kid her own treat. LOL.

I like the following: 1. frozen grapes; just wash, slice in half, and put in a bowl in the freezer. They are sort of creamy and sorbet like, plus they take longer to eat. 2. frozen banana slices with 1 T drizzle of Hershey Syrup and 1 T of shelled pistachios 3. skinny pop or chickapop prepopped popcorn; better than it…

My sisters attended WW at the beginning, and though I was only 10, I about died laughing at the "No cheese after 5:00 p.m." rule.

Good morning! I recently checked back in for the first time in three years, so I feel as if I'm brand new. Thus far I have 4 days straight (I feel a bit like I'm at an AA meeting...) of following my plan, and I'm looking for support and accountability. I hope I can find it here! :)
