Thanks everyone, I guess I meant to say that I miss going to a CrossFit gym, and I’m a new mom, in a new area. So I’m adjusting to a lot of changes. I don’t have an issue going to any gym even a regular one, I would prefer the gym, but with my current situation it’s not doable (waaaay too much to explain). I’ve finally…

I didn’t realize all of the replies until I started browsing thru the community posts! Thanks for all the input guys!

My eyesight improved after adopting a healthier lifestyle. I no longer need glasses or contacts. I used to have insulin resistance but don’t anymore. It’s not diabetes but similar, so I think the two were connected. Didn’t happen over night, just noticed that each time I went for a new Rx it was a lower strength until the…

Idk what they hype is about Keto either. You need carbs if you want to lose fat and gain muscle and have energy. Everyone I know who has been on Keto says they don’t have energy, and they have a headache. To each their own but I try educating them on muscle glycogen

New mom here also, baby is almost 3 months old and we don’t live near family or friends. It’s definitely a lot harder to fit everything in one day! Added :)

Also, you can look up healthier recipe swaps for favorite meals. Like protein pancakes or Paleo friendly meals work, just to name a couple :)

Increase veggies and water intake. He will be hungry at first if he’s been over eating and adjusting to smaller portion sizes. Should be eating 5-6 meals a day. Consider casein recipes for bedtime. Have whole foods like lean meat, veggies, some fruit, little starch, no (artificial) sugar, nuts and seeds. Healthy fats slow…

I’d cut more fats out of my diet. While healthy fats are essential, when you’re trying to cut weight eliminating fats and increasing veggies and maintaining enough protein helps. Sometimes it’s more of what you’re eating vs how much. Plus towards the end losing 2 lbs a week might be difficult to do. 0.5-1 lb a week might…

I’ve been doing Crossfit for 5 years and a coach for 3. You never get bored and you always get better. I noticed improvements in day to day life: been able to lift things easily and helping people move doesn’t get me exhausted. I also cured my PCOS with it along with following their zone/paleo diet. Not all Crossfit gyms…

Welcome! If you’re new to macros I suggest following the Zone diet. It lists the foods in their category and help you understand how much of each you should have at a time for balanced meals. 😊

I used to have PCOS which the doctors said there’s no cure and I’d have it forever and 50% higher risk of diabetes, ovarian cancer and heart disease. I was 20. It took a few years but I changed my diet and exercise and I don’t have it anymore! When I asked the Dr to check on it the tests all showed negative. I feel amazing…

I cured my PCOS from a healthy lifestyle! In my early 20's the tests from the Dr came back showing positive for PCOS, over the years I made changes and I went back for a checkup, and it's now negative, everything is showing normal and the Dr says there's nothing showing I still have it. I'd love to help!

I'm from the states but currently living in the UK! Also 27 :)

Welcome! Just remember it's a journey and it's not a straight path to success. You'll be up and down back and forth, just stick to it and you'll see results over time. I only say this because I've seen people get discouraged easily if they "mess up" on one meal or week. Keep us updated on your journey!

The only way to lose weight is diet & exercise. That's it. There's no secret or anything else to it except sticking to it 24/7. Dieting is a 24/7 job with no breaks. For exercise honestly the best way is crossfit. But regardless of what you do, just start with what you can do to assess your current fitness level, then…

I need help with this too! But my problem is that my lats are so big now, the strap is too tight around so it's either the cup size is too big or the strap is too small. I just stick with sports bras cuz nothing else fits me :/

Unless you're doing a competition where you perform 3-5 workouts in one day at high intensity and/or heavy weights it's not worth it. You want to stay away from extremes. So when a "cheat day" arises, make it a cheat meal only, not an entire day, and make it on a day you workout so you burn some of it off too :)

When I moved out it was way easier. I wasn't surrounded by everyone else's food (they didn't have the best eating habits) so temptation wasn't always there. Whenever I had cravings for junk I would have to make a trip to the store to get it, and most of the time it wasn't worth it so I just ate something else at home which…

How long has it been? Depends on what types of food you are eating and how much protein as well as carbs

You can drink a protein shake. Especially if you work out, drink casein protein (it's slow release and helps with muscle recovery while you sleep), with about 8oz of coconut water. It's a liquid and is meant for muscle recovery so it's not like you're eating a huge meal before you sleep. Hope that helps!

Switching to diet soda is a great start because you're not consuming the extra calories and sugar. However, it should only be temporary to help you get off of it completely since diet and Coke Zero all have so many artificial ingredients in them that can effect a persons health in the long run. What I would do is just cut…

It depends on how much muscle you have. I'm 5'2" and when I was about 18% body fat I was 123 pounds. I have a lot of muscle so the BMI scale says I'm overweight but I actually don't have a lot of body fat. So I'd say go by body fat % and not the scale :) muscle weighs more than fat

Going from A to B is never a straight line/path, it takes you all over the place back and forth it's crazy. Just remember it's a journey and if you mess up, oh well tmrw is a new day! Make a list of the reasons why you want to get lean/fit. Then maybe look up some stuff online about it, ex: if you're a mom and want to be a…

I find it easier to slowly discontinue something. Going from drinking a few sodas a day to none, your brain isn't used to not having that extra caffeine it sounds like. So if you're drinking (for example) 4 sodas a day, cut down to 3/day for a week, then 2/day for a week, 1/day for a week, then one every other day and so…
