I definitely had a lot of aha moments. Especially with the calories in avocado, nuts, and hummus. I was surprised at how they could easily send me soaring over my goal for the day just by a couple of handfuls here or there or scoops without measuring. I’m also realizing that I’m not as “healthy” as I used to tell myself I…

I might see a doctor. Weight gain very quickly can be an issue if it’s not related to your diet (excess calories).

What’s TWK?

Yes! I’m another 4’11” chick and I would love an accountability buddy!

Haha when I was little i thought Chex mix was the healthy chip option and would not eat them 😂 it wasn’t until I was a grown *kitten* adult that I tried these again and was like damn these are fire!

Fascinating! Thank u!

Im personally feeling the “most attractive” that I’ve been in my life and you know what? It really hasn’t changed my life much as I expected it would. At best, “being hot looking” gets you some stares, an ego boost, maybe a free drink or a better chance of a job. All of which is relevant when you’re still looking to date,…

Can you clarify what you mean by auto regulation with proper load management?

Me too

For sure. For some background that other post was not done for my personal goals. It was actually more of a thought I was having while on a walk. I just had a little fun with the way I wrote it which probably came off as someone super impatient for change. That said I am a little mad about the advice I was given to do a…

Put the snack in MFP like you ate it. Usually that deters me when I see my entire day work of calories go out the window. You can always remove it if you bypass the moment. I also think if you hop on the community here and start responding to people with advice it might help you change focus so the food has less of a draw.

Hey It’s very, very scary. I have a hard time planning my future with the threats facing us. I would love to have kids but honestly could not imagine parenting through it. Right now I’ve been blessed to live by the beach but if I drive out twenty minutes the temps get crazy.

Hey dude! I’m not exactly on a weight loss journey but I related to anxiety and depression and I’m trying to be healthier. I’m happy to add you, except I’m actually not sure how to haha.

I don’t have personal experience with this, but from watching my dad go on his journey I can say that you will very likely grow as a person if you do something like this. It’s a big deal to be on a weight loss journey and it will build your character in a way that other people around you could not even hope to comprehend.…

I think you’re getting a lesson that some of us get in our teens! I’ve been working out and eating right since I was young because I learned how quickly junk food affected my body. It’s a bit of a bummer if you never had to deal with it, but it sounds like you’re on the right track by being aware now! And you quit smoking…

Huh. Got advice to lose 1 pound a week when I only had five to go. Makes me wonder if you have very few to lose if it makes sense to do a quick cut instead of prolong it so your body doesn’t get super used to the new low calorie range. What do you guys think? I get confused over whether lowering my calories will *kitten*…

Yes! Another person who eats things one at a time. Haha I’m glad to hear I’m not alone. All my friends look at me with distress when they see I never put a meal together “correctly.”

How big is a travel scale?

Yogurt, almonds, blueberries is a personal fav

I might be just thin. I don’t know what’s average. I am 4’10 and was 107.6 pounds at 18% BF. That was the last I checked about a month ago at a hydrostatic measuring place. Or whatever it’s called when they dunk you in water.

Burritos from Mexican shops gotta hit like 1000 calories easy. Check our chipotle and then copy your favorite recipe at home. Crackers cheese and meat is an easy one and you could probably hit 1000 easy with that type of snacking and it’s very little work on ur part to put together too. Add some olives mmmmm Can you do…

I mean, I usually work out 1-1.5 hours a day and I eat right. I’ve always been on top of it. My main question was trying to better understand exactly what exercises pack the most punch and what’s the progression to get there as quick as possible. Not really because I’m running to get there (I have a lifetime to be/stay…

On the changing body shape front…just wait … booties will be out one day and a new trend will start so don’t worry about what you have and don’t have. That said building glute strength has tons of benefits for your health! @Speakeasy76 is right about Bret C. You can get his booth Strong Curves which outlines a twelve week…

I feel the same way.

How old the the people posting that? My friends use to be kind of overt like that. Needless to say, they weren’t looking for a connection of the mind. They’ve grown up now, but I definitely remember them going through that. They were also beautiful and I think trying to ward off some people who they felt were “below their…

I think it depends on what you want.! I like AthleneX. He really knows his stuff. It’s mire for lifting though.

My therapist had me practice just sitting with the emotion I’m feeling and focusing on it and breathing into it to (to release it) to learn how to physically process emotions instead of reacting to them. Let me tell you it’s not easy, but sometimes taking the meaning we embed in the emotion away is all we need to do for it…

For some background, I got that 16% number from a website that marked that percentage as “excellent” for women. But I’ll keep an eye out for signs of being underweight (I won’t be hanging out here for long). The main reason I went that though was from reading in community people cut first to offset the fat they would get…

Ah. I’m realizing that this was maybe what one would call a stupid question. There is no best “most effective” exercise or list of exercises without very specific outcomes outlined. Only after you figure out your goal could you figure out the most reasonable amount of time it would take to get you there.
