When I was initially with my ex, I was 5'8" and 140, which was perfectly normal and worked great on my frame. He did, however, have a great habit of calling me "fat," "cow," "chubby," etc., and always laughed it off as a "joke." I was young, too, at 18, with no one else to really compare him to. However, after the birth of…

You look absolutely stunning! Best of luck on your gains! Go get 'em!

Fantastic job! Keep up the incredible work!

32 for me!

I've been considering going on the low-FODMAP because my doctor thinks that I may have IBS (however we're still waiting on some tests to come back to make sure it's not something else). Feel free to add me!

I read the article and to be perfectly honest, the tone is a complete turn off for me. The guy reads like a jerk, and a highly presumptuous one at that.

I grab something with all three macros. I like apples with peanut butter and some cheese.

My barbell and dumbbells are my workout buddies. Take up minimal space, and get a good workout!

I love deadlifts! As everyone else said, take it easy and watch lots of videos and practice the movement without any weight. Don't rush it, just let the whole movement flow. I also advocate for recording yourself, it's important to get proper form in line before you start adding more weight and bad habits are already in…

I loathe cardio in all forms but I've learned I like picking up heavy stuff. It's only been a couple of weeks but I'm already seeing and feeling differences. Plus it's awesome to feel like a total boss at the end of a killer workout.
-
I'd say add some weight to those squats!
-
This. You'll feel like a total boss when you start lifting heavier than you ever thought you could. That's some motivating stuff right there.
-
Squats. And even more squats. When they get too easy, add weight. Nothing replaces a good set of squats.

Squats and deadlifts are my absolute favorite thing to do! I have no idea why people skip these!

Back in the day, I did 30DS (several years ago). While I didn't stick with it long enough to allow myself to see results, the workout was no joke. Try and see if you like it! I'm thinking of going back to it.

I assess where I am nutrition/calorie-wise, drink water, and try to determine why I feel sluggish. Luckily on workout days when I lift, I get pretty pumped almost immediately so that helps. But if it's something my body is trying to tell me (health vs. laziness) I try and remedy that. Also: coffee.

I hate cardio in most forms, but I really enjoy swimming if I have access to a lap pool. Otherwise, I haul my butt onto the elliptical.

Mine's open!

Hey, anyone is more than welcome to add me. I try and post daily fitness mantras and support my friends here. Please feel free!

I do whole body on the same day, and give myself 2 rest days between. If I'm feeling really antsy, I'll go on a long walk or do additional ab exercises. It works for me!
-
I really don't like running (or most forms of cardio), so I've always avoided exercise. Looking back, I mostly just needed to find something I like. Never would have figured that lifting was that thing that I like! It's a self-challenge, which I am so about!

Over hydration will crash your sodium which can cause muscle weakness/tremors and seizures. Your kidneys can't keep up, so your body hangs onto the water. On a cellular level, the water from your blood can then move into your cells, which will make them swell, and this can mean bad news as well. Swelling in the brain,…

I'm in the same boat, my day starts at 5:10 AM and I'm not usually home until 8:30 PM. My recommendation is to find what works for you. Figure out how much time you're able to dedicate to it. If it's only 15, 20, 30 minutes, tailor your workout to that time frame. I'm only able to reasonably dedicate about 30 minutes, 3…

Wishing you all the best with your journey! Feel free to add me if you'd like!

My mom LOVED cottage cheese and cherry tomatoes when I was a kid, and I tried it once and gagged. I've been leery of trying it ever since. But I was also the same with cream cheese (which I LOVE) and avocado (which I'm obsessed with), so I imagine cottage cheese is something I should run with!

The key is planning! Decide whether or not you want to go out or cook something at home (we do a combination of the two). If you're wanting to go out, make a plan and stick to it. My boyfriend and I are major wing fanatics, and we wanted wings this weekend. We counted calories, figured out what we could afford, and enjoyed…

bump because I'm curious!

It depends! I am within the mindset of "Don't reward yourself with food, you're not a dog." BUT, at the same time, I'm able to maintain enough self control to go a little over one day on a weekend, and get right back to the routine during the week. It helps keep me a little bit sane. I don't feel like I'm denying myself…

I have the same issue. My morning starts at 5:10 AM and I'm not usually home until 8:30 at the earliest, so finding time to work out is a challenge. You know what else is a challenge for me? Not being healthy. So I find the time. I walk on my lunch break, and when I do work out, I work out hard. If you can find 20-30…
