I'll take the accuracy of my food scale and food diary over a log in my head any day. My salad may have 30 calories of greens, I ate 30 calories of celery, I snacked on a ton of cherry tomatoes....lots of steamed broccoli. Those calories add up. I even log black coffee. Ten to 40 calories per day, throughout the day, can…

Sigh. NO. Starvation is a thing. Visit a country where it's happening. Anorexia is a thing. A long term anorexic is just skin and bones. THAT is what happens when you don't eat enough. Maybe watch a few episodes of Naked and Afraid and watch these people lose 30 or more pounds in 3 weeks...because they aren't eating enough.

Search the forums for the other nine thousand or so threads on this. MLM BS.

Science is not an opinion. The only "hate" here is the thought of people reading this and wasting time and money on supplements.

If you're in a normal weight range already, it's going to be slow going. The most you could possibly hope to lose is a half pound per week. You've lost more than that. You need PATIENCE.

All you need to know is right here, OP.

I haven't had a gallbladder since 2012. In 2016 I've lost 112 plus pounds. The only difference is that I don't have those horrible painful gallstone attacks anymore. Oh, and I have had less tolerance for really greasy/high fat foods since having it removed. A bonus if you ask me...

Good for you OP. It's nice to see a post about this MLM garbage that isn't promoting it.

Burning more fat is the only way to do it. That means CICO.

So after all this....are you saying that a "set point" is simply a stable weight range?!?!?! I can't even.....

Wine has been in my food diary more times than I could ever count, and I'm losing just fine.

Once I got a food scale and started weighing things like steaks and cheese I knew exactly how I managed to become so obese. Paying attention to calories on menus was shocking, too. I could go out to breakfast and consume more in that meal than I do now for an entire day....and keep eating the rest of the day!!!

I eat whatever I like on every given day. The thing is, I weigh and log that food. I tend to save exercise calories as a buffer for eating out. 111.5 down.
-
That really depends on how much you weigh and your body type.

Good luck.

I can run. I can walk quickly up hills and not only not hate it, but not notice a change in my breathing. Stairs are a breeze.

This is going to vary A LOT, so be careful when comparing yourself to others. I started at 22/24, and I'm just comfortably into size 8 after losing 112lbs. I'm still overweight and will be losing roughly 35-40 more lbs. I'm 5'8. It took me 30 pounds to drop into a size 20. It started moving more quickly for me after that.…

I've lost 112 and while support and motivation are nice, they won't get you there. Decide this is a non-optional thing right now. Do it whether you feel like it or not. Pick up support and motivation where you can...but make a decision now. Motivation comes and goes. Dedication will keep you exercising and eating properly…

I'm no power lifter, but I'm going to go with a big "nope".

My chins are gone, and there's some skin there I'm not a fan of. That said, I have to ask myself, do I prefer how I looked and felt being obese? NOPE. Not in a million years. I'd rather look older and worn that feel older and worn...not to mention how obesity was shortening my lifespan.

Ok, whatever works for you.
