Just count calories if your sole purpose is to lose weight. Many people will count fats, protein or carbs on here to maintain their lean body mass and hormone levels though.

You only need an caloric deficit to lose weight. I personally can lose weight just find by reducing my caloric intake. But if a plateau occurs, then adding cardio will usually help break past it. You sound like your on the right track!

Once a week during the same time and lighting. Personally I think the scale is a bad indication of weight loss. Sometimes I eat to much sodium and end up holding water.

On the 3 week regime so I basically just eat for my macros and calories. Still losing 1-2 pounds per week so I guess its working pretty good!

I had the same issue. Went from 150 to 120 pounds and thought I looked the same. As a general rule of thumb you see the most changes once you start dropping below 15 percent body fat. Vascular and muscle and muscle definition will all come once your low enough body fat.
