  • If you don't want a bunch of added sugar, try Electo Mix. It's a powder that you mix with water. By the same brand that does EmergenC.
  • It really is about moderation. You can still eat those foods, just in smaller portions. Or what ever amount fits your calorie goal or macros. What foods do you want, that you feel like you can't or shouldn't have?
  • I make this and it's so yummy! I add about a tablespoon of almond milk and it blends nicely. Try adding cocoa powder or cinnamon. So good! I don't used it as a ice cream substitute. I eat it because it tastes good and I like bananas. :) I also do this with blueberries and strawberries. Occasionally pineapple too!
  • Primal Kitchen- Primal Fuel protein powder in Chocolate Coconut. It's Whey isolate and coconut milk and oh so yumm!
  • I really like Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk. One serving is 30 calories and has 50% more calcium than milk. My favorite combo is chocolate protein powder, 50g banana, 2g Ceylon Cinnamon and 240-300g of almond milk. Yum! Tastes like a milk shake and typically about 200 calories.
  • Talk to your oncologist and nurse before you attempt any weight loss right now. They may want you to wait until your treatment is over and your body has recovered. Your body needs fuel right now and food is fuel. Especially protein! Cottage cheese, full fat Greek yogurt, milk, milk shakes with protein powder added. Steamed…
  • Steel cut oats have good protein and fiber which can help with constipation. My newest protein powder is Primal Fuel Chocolate Coconut by Primal Kitchen. Pretty simple ingredients and a 2lb tub is $30 on Amazon. I also like Vega Sport, but there are some extra ingredients like BCAA's that you may want to chat with your…
  • I tried the braised pork. It was pretty good and I would buy it again. Calorie count was either 250 or 280. I haven't seen the Beetnik brand, but I'll look for it.
  • Thank you for your post. It helped me realize that this happens and I need to accept it and move on. I ate too much pasta tonight. I met friends for dinner after my yoga class and I was more hungry than I expected to be and my plan went out the window. Now I have that blah, full feeling. Hate it. But, I'm going to accept…

  • I love St Angel Brie. It's a triple cream and a little goes a long way. So creamy and buttery. Haystack Mountain Goat Cheve in Marinade is a long time favorite! 8 ounces of Cheve in a marinade of olive oil and herbs. Lovely in salad or just by itself with a spoon! :) Cypress Grove's Humboldt Fog is amazing! Put it on a…
  • I log my lattes and a super low calorie sparkling water I enjoy on occasion. Other than that, I drink a lot of water.
  • You would benefit from speaking with a Registered Dietician. Contact your doctor or nurse to get a referral. It may even be covered by insurance since you have high blood pressure. Until then, Write down what you would eat if you weren't trying to eat healthy and be on a diet. Figure out what you would have for breakfast,…
  • Almond butter, Maranatha's Coconut Almond butter, PB 2, Cacao powder, cinnamon, banana, apples, frozen blueberries and almond milk.
  • A fat burner isn't needed. They're unregulated and potentially dangerous. Save your money and use it to purchase a new workout top for when you can get back to being active! The good news is, you already have the tools you need to maintain or continue losing weight! First, before you start losing weight, talk to your…
  • From checking out Rehydrate and Spark, it looks like Rehydrate is an electrolyte with vitamins drink. And Spark is a or like a pre-workout drink with caffeine, B vitamins and amino acids. For electrolytes and Vitamins, I like Emergen C. I get a total of 90 packets at Costco for $19.99. 3 Flavors, Orange, Raspberry and…
  • I typically do two rest days. Normally I split them up, but if I do an intense workout or if I'm feeling ill or have a small injury, I'll take off two days. It's good to let your body rest and recover. I also eat more protein on recover days.
  • The name is not appealing to me at all. I know that's a completely random thought, but for some reason I felt the need to share it. Try having some mint candy like an altoid. The strong mint flavor will make eating anything right away quite unappealing!

  • Orgain? I like to add almond butter! I'm currently using Maranatha's Coconut Almond Butter. Yum! My new fave is 50 g frozen blueberries 1 scoop Orgain Vanilla protein powder 180 g unsweetened vanilla almond milk 80 g plain Greek yogurt 16 g coconut almond butter and about 4 g Ceylon cinnamon. *most ingredients are organic.…
  • I weigh my eggs. I think on MFP a large egg is considered 50 g. I've had quite a few eggs that were closer to 70 g, which is roughly a 28 calorie difference. For two eggs that puts me at 56 calories more then would be logged on MFP if I go with the most common weight.

  • I know far too many intelligent people that fall for this stuff and use these products. A friend lost a lot on Isagenix, but doesn't know how to eat without it so when he gains, he goes back to Isagenix. Another person I know is "Senior Gold" with Plexus. How she convinces people to buy these products is beyond my…
  • I think it really depends on why you have 900 calories left over. If your calorie goal is 1400 and you're only eating 500 cals and you have 900 cals left over, then you should eat. A minimum of 1000-1200 cals depending on your height and weight. You need food to fuel your body. Now, if eating more is making you physically…
  • I had a PB&J for lunch. First time in a long while. I used 1 serving of Jif Naturals Peanutbutter, 1 serving of Smuckers Honey Sweetened Strawberry Fruit Spread and 1 Trader Joe's Whole Wheat Sandwich Slim. So good!
  • I like to do 1 part cauliflower and 1 part potatoes. I mash them together then add butter and milk. Salt to taste. Yum!
  • Congratulations! You look amazing! Love the shorter hair on you!
  • Consider speaking to your doctor and pharmacist about it. You should be able to call and leave a message for your doctor or possibly schedule a phone appointment.
  • Glad you got it fixed! To anyone in the same situation, please check your states driving laws to see if you can wear earbuds while driving. It's illegal in my state, but not in all states. Double check, so much better than a ticket!
  • With veggies you're pretty good to guess. With fruit, definitely weigh it.
  • Salads aren't necessary. I eat them because I enjoy them. If you don't enjoy them, definitely get your veggies in a different way.
  • You may need more electrolytes. Potassium is and electrolyte and would be helpful if you're dehydrated. Do you get much sodium in your diet? How's your magnesium intake? Try drinking Gatorade or and electrolyte drink mix like EmergenC Electro Mix Sport Drink. Do you stretch your legs and feet every day? Look up leg and…
