  • Tortilla filled with pepper, onion, Tomato, sweet chilli sauce, cheese. Fold it half and toast in a dry frying pan. let cool and cut into 3 (triangles). As side dish, boiled Egg with carrot and Celery sticks. So yummy and not dreadful on the calories. Filling and satisfying. I'm having that for my lunches next week...I'm…
  • Never deprive yourself of anything. Everything in moderation. So if you really want a piece of cake, have it but only have the recommended portion size or halve it. That way you'll still get the taste and satisfaction but for half the calories. You've done incredibly well to loose what you have so far. Do you remember what…
  • I surprised myself at the gym today. I was uphill walking on the treadmill....I'm very new to the gym, have only been going about 10weeks. I was set by my PT a 10min uphill walk...today I decided to try 15mins. On the treadmill, there should be a setting to adjust the overall programme time, so when I was nearing 15mins, I…
  • I have never heard of this, but that could be because I'm from the UK rather than the USA. That is absolutely hilarious though. I can see why people where put off food. So funny!!!
  • I'm not getting married but I am aiming to lose half my body weight. Add me if you like
  • Oh bless you. Don't worry too much. A bag of crisps won't ruin all the effort you've put in so far. I had a Chinese and felt awful about it, but after a couple of days, I stopped telling myself off about it and told myself just to get back on the band wagon. I have and I haven't had any take aways since. I don't see this…
  • I'm hoping it works in reverse...I want bigger boobs...please don't let tied disappear entirely

  • Hiya. I'm always on here. Haven't been a member for that long, only 39days but I'm obsessed with this app haha. I'm not disappearing anytime soon. I have a long way to go to reach my overall goal. I love being on here. So many great people with words of advice and I'm always there to offer it in reverse where I can.
  • What's a withing?
  • Thank you to everyone who replied on here. You've all helped to install some faith again. You've all been in kind and it's so nice to know I have a support mechanism behind me.
  • That would be good. Whether I'd do them or not is a different story. I've only been going to the gym for about the last 10weeks, so only just improving my fitness at the moment. If you could send some, that would be good and I'll see if I can cope with it. Thank you
  • Thank you. I didn't think I was being irrational. He just really got my back up.
  • Thank you for that...that actually made me laugh!!
  • Dependant on how much bigger the clothes are to your current size, tailoring them is a really good idea. I know what you mean about emotional attachment to clothes. I lost someone very close to me just under two months ago, and silly little things like clothes were the hardest things to get rid of because it's like…
  • If you refuse to treat yourself, your diet will be tedious and unachievable. I work my treats into my calories. I also buy some tesco dessert whips which are made up with milk (I use skimmed) and they are very low on calories, but they give me the sweet treat I'm craving. As long as you incorporate them into your calories,…
  • Definitely can see a change. You've only got a tiny body anyway so there's only little to lose visual wise. You may find you'll notice more on the scale movement...and think about the health benefits. You look great before and after
  • Sometimes, the numbers on the scales aren't always motivational. My first weekly weigh in showed I'd lost 10.5lbs, but the week after, I lost 1lb and I'd really been working hard. Did feel a little disappointed but then I got into a dress I haven't been able to wear for nearly 2 years...that was a huge achievement for me.…
  • I'm 19 days in to calorie counting and I'm MEGA addicted. MFP is fantastic and the community is brilliant for motivation and emotional boosts. I use the MFP app daily and feel like I'm totally lost without it now. Nothing goes into my body without knowing it's content and I've found I'm now addicted to the gym. Feel free…
  • That's brilliant. Well done for showing your confidence...other people's thoughts don't matter, just do and be whatever makes you happy. Sticks and stones may break your bones but words can never hurt you ;-)
  • I've a long way to go so I know how you feel. I'm looking to lose about half my current body weight just to get to a sensible size for my height. I'm disgusted at myself for letting it get so bad, but a little perseverance will get us there. Feel free to add me
  • Remember me...? Add me if you like.
  • Hi hun. I've never lost a partner because of my weight but I do struggle a lot with how I'm perceived by my partner. I have a lot of weight to shift (about half my current weight)...I avoided the mirror as much as possible in the past but one day I couldn't help but notice just how awful I looked and it kicked me into…
  • Oh I feel you on the partner business!! He barely eats anything healthy. I've resulted in adapting the meals so I get to eat all the foods I really enjoy and only cooking what he likes, then dishing up two different meals. Can prove to be a pain sometimes and it causes extra clearing up but if I didn't do it, I'd end up on…
  • I'm from Kent. I know what you mean about people not being active. I'm not too active unfortunately, just because I can't use my phone during work hours and by the time I've left work, been gym and cooked dinner when I'm home, it silly 'o clock before I get chance to look on the community. I love reading people's posts on…
  • This is such a good post...well done everyone. My little things are: 1) realising I love going to the gym instead of dreading the burn and tiredness 2) putting on my bracelet and finding I can do it up one notch tighter 3) realising my heals don't ache as much when I stand around for a long time 4) fitting snuggly into a…
  • Wow!! There really are no words to describe what an amazing achievement that is! If you can do it, anyone can!! Well done!!
  • I had a massive weight loss last week and I wasn't being unreasonable with my eating habits to make it happen either. I lost 10.5lbs (4.8kg) last week. My current weight, 125kg, and desperate to lose the excess. 4th July is still some time away, you've got about 5/6weeks. Anything you lose is an achievement, so be proud…
  • Thanks everyone for your replies. I didn't go overboad because I couldn't find out the calories, and I did make a sensible choice, ended up with salad. But just like francl27 said, even these can have some outrageous calorie contents. I usually end up driving and even if I'm not, I'm not a big drinker, so these was no…
  • I am totally gobsmacked at what your family/friends/neighbours are saying! I don't see where, in any of what was said, the applause was for your effort to get to your goal. It seems like everyone is focusing too much on what everyone else saying and really it sounds like jealousy that you achieved something that they…
  • I work 43.5hours a week. I too have a relatively long commute, crossing counties everyday, and I'm out the door every morning at about 7.30am, then not home until about 6.30pm (on days I don't go to the gym). I'm a Manager and Complaint Handler in an Insurance Brokers and spend a lot of time engrossed in my duties at my…
