Okay fine, you all win. eat whenever you want. I'm just saying, from experience. I worked the night shift for years. Eating after work and going directly to bed after eating. I went from 200 to 300 pounds. Since retiring I keep "normal hours" and am down to 250 and have my blood sugar in control. I know this thread isn't…

OK. I'm not a Nutritionist or Medical Doctor, but from my experience as a diabetic, if I eat after 6pm my blood sugar is way higher in the am. Chef Barbell; I'm sure you are smarter than me, but I'd like to see your evidence. I'm innocent until proven guilty so the burden of proof is on you.

What shift do you work and what time do you sleep? Are you a night owl, or an early riser? It's hard to digest while you are sleeping. IMEHO, don't eat for at least two hours before bed.

I cold turkey'd peanut butter after posting here. I now am back to it, but in moderation. Now I have peanut butter on my toast rather than toast with my peanut butter.

I eat my exercise calories; but, I found that the calories credited for the amount of exercise I do is ridiculously high. This caused me to gain weight. To counter the inaccuracy I don't put the correct time of exercise. I reduce the time by 1/3 or 1/2. That works for me.

Cut the cabbage into small pieces. Boil that cabbage down with onions and a tablespoon + of bacon fat on top. salt. mix with potato dumplings. Maybe it's not so healthy, but it's filling.

Coffee seems to affect my readings. My morning numbers were dropping recently since I've been on this diet. I was getting 100 and below. but; They've been up the last couple of mornings. Could it be because I had a black coffee first?

I've had dawn phenomenom too for over ten years. The doctors either don't know about it, don't get it, or can't do anything about it. Thank you for telling me and I would appreciate any advice you can give. I take Metformin, glipizide and victoza. I diet and exercise religiously. Thank you
