  • Maybe use the time of travel for intermittent fasting. Always carry nuts or nut butter around for emergency snacks. Quest bars are always an option.
  • I am a little late on the 3 month update. Studying for the bar is such a time and energy drain. Not to mention the stress. I took a week off of the gym but stayed eating Keto and stayed in ketosis. I’m at 61 pounds down and counting and feeling good.
  • My goal weight is 195 at 12% or lower BF. That’s where I felt the best in my life before and would like to get there again. I’m also cognizant of the fact that I was 10 years younger then but hey, shoot for the stars, right?
  • I posted this already and hate to flood this site with my pictures but that was only 2 months in. I think we are always hard on ourselves and i just didn’t feel real progress. I am finally starting to get others asking about my weight loss 10 weeks in and that helps affirm the progress.
  • One thing I learned in this journey is to make your success and progress your own. You’re doing great! Remember when you get discouraged that there is no reason to compare your progress to anyone else’s. There is no reason to compare the sun and the moon. They both shine when it is their time. Keep up the good work my…
  • @Aswennu yes I am. I weigh and log everything. I enjoy lifting weights and incorporate some form of cardio daily. I alternate between sprints or other HIIT cardio and steady state cardio depending what my body is telling me.
  • @chinatowninchina Everything is going great! Graduate on 5/11. Starting bar prep next week. It’s going to be a bit hectic but health will remain priority. Healthier me will be a better test taker.
  • Two month update. Down 40 lbs. 100 to go. Disappointed in my physical appearance still but will trust the process. Be back next month for another update! Come join me if you want Keto buddies!
  • Fellow 100lb loss goal! You got this.
  • 1 month down, lifetime to go. If you’re my friend sorry for the double post on my wall here.
  • This was my reward for 25 lbs
  • April will be my 2nd month on Keto. My goal is to look and feel better. Hopefully the scale is cooperative! Sunday 04/01 Sunday 04/08 Sunday 04/15 Sunday 04/22 Sunday 04/29
  • While I understand the tough love “just do it” approach all too well, some people need a little something extra to get them going. Whether it’s a “how do you like me now” or a “me vs the world” stock story, use whatever fuels that fire. For better or worse, my motivation is the opposite sex. As a single parent and law…
  • 3rd year law student, single parent.
  • Thank you everyone for the kind words and returning the support and well wishes. I felt all your energy while pushing through the final sets this morning. Have a great day.
  • I use the information to tweak my macro split. I use my basal metabolic rate and factor in my activity levels to calculate my caloric needs. Typically try and operate between 1950-2100 calories. Im very number and stat oriented and like seeing real numbers and charts etc. I hope that people research any WOE and overall…
  • @JodehFoster ketones
  • I don’t really understand the long response to simply echo my sentiments. I will say it again, I will say it everytime, do not take medical advice from online forums. See your doctor, see another doctor, see a 3rd and 4th doctor, but do yourself a favor and get things checked out by people familiar with you and your…
  • I am just risk averse and would rather not get or give medical advice since I am not a physician. You should always get second opinions, but I don’t know about skipping out on the first opinion because you’re afraid you might not like the results. Whatever comes of it, I hope you’re able to happily and healthy enjoy the…
  • @chinatowninchina haha well played. Keto is treating me well! I feel great and am down about 12-13 lbs
  • Fear of the unconventional is nothing new. Do what works for you and block out the negativity. I am a few weeks into Keto and will reserve my positive or negative feedback until I have a larger sample size. At the end of the day people choking down broiled chicken breast and brown rice probably do not like the idea that…
  • This feels like something that should be discussed with your Primary Care Provider. This place is a great source of information and motivation, but for medical advice I would consult a professional with knowledge of your personal symptomatology.
  • What it's worth depends on what you're implying
  • It is a difficult and painful cycle. For a lot of people food is a drug just like cocaine, alcohol, or tobacco. There are studies that show similar reactions in the brain for some with sugar and cocaine. Point I'm getting at is, people use/eat food because they hate themselves and then they hate themselves because they ate…
  • Just finished my first 30 days of being back as well. Keep up the good work!!
  • I am currently around 40% BF so yeah probably about 175ish on the lean mass. But it seems like the consensus is maybe play with it a bit. I also consume about a gallon of water a day. It is the only thing I drink outside an occasional unsweetened ice tea to keep me sane with my meals. I think I will drop the protein a bit…
  • Sorry if I did the quote thing wrong....I never get how to use that option but....I enjoy it....kind of. I feel like maybe the carbs is just way too low and might be a big part of the constant fatigue. Thank you for the feedback though. It is much appreciated.
