They used to serve government cheese when I was in elementary school. I loved it. Vanilla milk, which was whole milk, artificial vanilla extract and sugar stirred together. Chef Boy Ardee ravioli

Homemade tomato soup with fresh basil, homemade bread and smoked Cooper sharp for the grilled cheese.

Many years ago, when I was in culinary school, we had a chef instructor who had worked in Morocco, where they ate locusts. He told us that they did taste like shrimp. I'm not easily grossed out, so I might try them.

Coffee and Fage 0 with chia seeds and homemade fruit preserves.

Try experimenting to find our what foods help you feel fuller. As long as you stay in your calorie limit, you don't need to eliminate fats and carbs. Either or both might be what helps you to feel fuller for a longer time. Same with that slice of cheese. Weigh it, log it, eat it.

I just watched a South Park episode where all the kids In town went trick or treating on scooters. I’m sure this is somehow on topic.

Can’t wait to make these again for Christmas morning.

Years ago I bought it, it didn’t help me feel full. Made me gassy though. Threw it away.

All this cinnamon roll talk is evil. Now I want PA Dutch sticky buns with pecans.

Homemade pumpkin cheesecake with gingersnap crust. And a dollop of real whipped cream. I don't think we're hosting this year, due to a litter of puppies and an ongoing remodeling project taking up the kitchen space. We'll probable make the grown up version of this the weekend after, just for the leftovers. We raise them so…

Butterscotch krimpets were so much better then too. There used to be a little meat market across from my grandmothers house that made a deli meat called ‘I Don’t Care’. It was kind of like garlicky salami, but better.

Orange cranberry Fiber One bars are great if you can find them.

When I went to the DMV and all of the workers and people in line were 'old people' and they treated me like I was one of them. Turning 60 next week and can't figure out how the h I got there.

They're fine as a base to add veggies and chicken breast to. Lunch, but not satisfying enough for dinner.

Don't forget an orange vanilla swirl cone at Kohr Bros. It's right by Thrashers, and part of the experience.

The last meal I actually cooked was on Sunday. A whole round steak, rolled and tied with bacon and onions inside. It was cooked low and slow all day, with the pan juices made into a sauce with portabella mushrooms and veal stock. We had Yukon gold mashed potatoes with it.

I agree on the chocolate cheesecake combo, although I like Grand Mariner cheesecake with a chocolate crust.

I think the kind of yogurt you use as a mayo substitute makes a big difference. It has to be Greek yogurt, preferably full fat. Sometimes though, I’ll mix Helmann’s reduces calorie mayo with Fave 0, since that’s what I have on hand from breakfast. Not too shabby.

Now I want this. When I was a kid, we would top this with home canned stewed tomatoes. With lots of butter.

I’m sorry you don’t have an in-person shoulder to cry on or an ear when you need to vent. You’re definitely not evil for getting frustrated-just tired I’m sure. Did you hire your aides through a specific agency? I’m asking cause we have had home aides for my elderly dad both through a private agency, and through one…

I’m in a similar situation. I lost 50# over a year and a half. In a perfect world, I would like to drop another 20 or so, but life ‘stuff’ has gotten in the way of being active enough to stay at a deficit. Since January I’ve maintained, which wasn’t a conscious choice as much as it was counting but adding indulgences more…

Mine is crunchy starchy processed carbs, especially after 10 pm, on stressful days. It can be triscuits, cereal right out of the box or store bought cookies. It’s definitely emotional eating and seems to happen once every few weeks.

Personally I love this thread. I see it as a source of inspiration, so that I pre-plan my indulgences for foods that look (and hopefully taste) as good as these pictures. It reminds me not to waste calories on store bought cookies and such.

I'm quite jealous of folks who can easily find Cherry Zero, especially by the single bottle in convenience stores. Diet Dr. Pepper is a little easier to find. I'd have one every day if cold single bottles were easily located.

I’ll bring Pearl. Her eyes IRL are much greener and scarier looking in real life, so she’ll fit right in.

If it’s not too late to sign up for the hand basket/bus/potluck, I’ll bring baked macaroni and cheese. It will have sharp cheddar, havarti and Brie in the sauce and be topped with browned, buttered breadcrumbs. There seem to be enough desserts already.

My work is like this too. There is a bowl of mini candy bars in the break room every day, along with a jar of cookies, and one of pretzels. Every Friday, we have a vendor who brings bagels and cream cheese. At least once a month, there is either a special themed luncheon or an ice cream social. On the first of every month,…

Can’t say I’ve ever seen the calorie counts change like that. There are some strange entries in the data base than can mess up calorie totals if you get the wrong one. Garlic powder is one iirc. Try re entering the ingredients. I’d look for a different flour entry that doesn’t use fluid ounces if possible. The satsuma…
