You may need to alter your insulin doses on days you exercise, you will need to discuss this with your endocrinologist and a dietician.

I wonder if there is any active wear that wicks sweat away better than others. Perhaps a steroid cream for use after exercising may reduce the itching and inflammation. Or perhaps a more gentle exercise like yoga?

Not all types of medications cause weight gain and depending on the type of medication you're on there are a number of different ways to manage those side effects.

I have a paddle kayak (not fishing), it's a good workout. I think the pedals would be too easy. Can you hire one with pedals to see how hard it is?

I was finding that all day while I work I am never hungry. I use to eat healthy meals and snacks at work but I would still over eat when I got home. So I stopped eating while I work. I have a piece of fruit if I'm hungry but otherwise I don't eat until I get home. So I eat lunch when I get home and then I eat dinner a bit…

I am my biggest supporter, because at the end of the day I am doing this for me. I haven't found any external support beneficial. But maybe I just haven't found the right support person.

I use to eat breakfast but I've recently stopped and it's helped me lose weight. In the morning I am never hungry and but I use to always eat breakfast because I thought it was the healthy thing to do. Now I wait until I'm hungry and then have a snack or lunch depending on what time it is.

If a medication has no side effects it's a good indication it's not working.

I've had the Mirena in for about 6 months to manage endometriosis. In the first two months I had this insatiable appetite, my Dr told me it wasn't related to the mirena but I'm not convinced. I gained 5 kgs. It seems to have settled down now. Give it some time.

What everyone else said, but in the mean time while you are working on adequate nutrition give your hair some love by putting coconut oil through it for 30 minutes or so before you wash it. It will do it the world of good.

I really find that positive affirmations have really helped me be more accepting of myself. At first you feel like an idiot and as though you're just lying to yourself but eventually you start to believe them.

It took me 6 months to lose 10kg, I went from 84kg to 74kg. If you weigh 90kg or more it will probably be easier to lose that first 10. If you weigh less than that it may take a little more time.

I make cauliflower "cheese" sauce; Cauliflower, onion and garlic sauteed, salt and pepper, and nutritional yeast, all blended and can be used in place of a cheese sauce.
