Don’t go vegetarian just to lose weight. I’ve been vegetarian/ occasional vegan for 13 years and it’s just as easy to be overweight on that diet as any omnivores’. The most important thing is to cook food you’ll actually eat and eat in moderation. If you choose the veg lifestyle good for you but it’s not necessary for…

Giant bags of nuts are dirt cheap at Costco! I get tons of nuts- we eat a lot of them and it's very affordable to buy them in bulk

I love this thread. I am BP 1 ultra rapid cycler with mixed features. I also have PMDD. I am always on a meds rollercoaster! Some meds make me ravenous others are neutral. But I'm usually on 6-10 meds so sometimes the culprits are difficult to identify. It's a slow and extremely painful process, especially when your life…

One of my favorite things!

For a very long time my new lifestyle journey has created great purpose to my life. I am very ill and in a lot of pain and the stress has me bingeing. I also think I am probably not eating enough. I have been changing up my macros to see if that helps but no luck so far. I don't have a hard time eating enough filling food.…

She hasn't gotten back to me with my new intake. We've been playing phone tag. Until she does I'll probably eat 1600-1700 calories. I'm sure I'll hear from her today, though.

She didn't understand the nuances because I did not give her all the information she needed. It was my fault. I don't eat back any exercise calories. Think my dietician is bogus.

Wow I had no idea the thread would go in this direction. People are extremely interesting! I appreciate everyone's feedback and I apologize that my original post was not through. It was simply a rant. Yes, I know I am made up of more than muscle and fat- I simply misspoke. I originally was losing 5-10lbs a month. Now I'd…

I never had any issues. I guess I got lucky? Hope your symptoms pass soon

I got mine done with a dietician

I have a copper IUD and it is THE BEST

I rollerbladed 14 miles the other day just for fun! The gym I go to asked to write about me on their blog as a success story! I've lost 60 lbs but the greatest victory is my new mindset and active lifestyle!

Drink decaf coffee for pjs but add in a good matcha green tea for caffeine. Much more mellow

That sounds like a lot of work! I eat almost the same stuff everyday except for dinner so keeping my macros in place isn't too difficult. Good luck!

Although I have a spiralizer I usually just purchase my veggies pre spiraled. It's worth the money for me. Sometimes I'm too tired to make a healthy meal from scratch if everything isn't already prepped and ready to go

Today I rollerbladed 14 miles just because I could. I went out before dawn to watch the sun rise over Lake Michigan.

I use glucomannan too! I does not bloat me and as long as I drink lots of fluids I'm fine. It use to help keep me fuller longer but now I just use it as a fiber supplement especially if I'm eating a lot of dairy ( I use to be vegan but am now just vegetarian). I take it mostly out of habit at this point. I don't think it…

I am also a chef! Flavor is paramount to me. I am also vegetarian. I love wonderful stocks, properly cooked veggies, mixed textures, and big flavor punches. Vietnamese and Indian foods are my staples. Good luck!

I don't know what you mean by implant? I have a copper IUD and it's AWESOME.

I doubt you need probiotics. I'm also veggie although not raw. Unless you've recently been on antibiotics I bet your gut flora are in top shape!

I'm going through something very similar. I take meds that make me hungry all the time for sweets and carbs ( I am switching meds ASAP!). I eat more protein and fat but as soon as I get home from work I can't get food in my mouth fast enough. I'm satiating my sweets craving with Halo Top and I can usually fit that into my…

I rollerbladed 14.5 miles the other day! It wasn't odious or some test of endurance it was just plain FUN! I also have worked up so much core strength that my back no loner hurts after my lumbar surgery last year!

I empathize with you! I'm glad to hear the meds have helped manage your anxiety! Like others have said SSRI increase appetite. I'm bipolar 1 and take an ABSURD amount of medication. But I need it and it's saving my life. My highest weight was around 200 lbs and I'm 5'4". With help from my Pdoc, a dietician, personal…

I totally get where you are coming from! Firstly, and this is extremely difficult, commit to only eating healthy foods when you're stress eating. Don't even have junk food in the house. They're still calories but a bunch of fruit and peanut butter is probably better than a bag of chips and Oreos. It also might help to see…

I hit a plateau so my dietician upped my protein and fat and viola! Started losing again! That's just me though- it's different for everyone.

I have recently fallen in love with this edamame pasta from Costco that my dietician recommended. 25 grams of protein per serving! And it completely satiates my pasta cravings too! I also eat Greek yogurt, Seitan, and good old fashioned beans. I'm on a higher protein diet diet and am a vegetarian so I get where you are…

Vega! Only one I like!

I love the discipline! The feeling that I have control over something in my life. I choose what to eat, when and how to exercise, and it makes me so proud. Even though I can't seem to lose weight the last three months I feel great. It really has just become a lifestyle
-
I also work out 4-6 days a week

I haven't lost weight since mid March- I use Happy Scale and it syncs right up with the start of the lithium.
