I realized complicated isn't necessary, I just love to cook :) I've tried scanning individually but was terrible at estimating how much of a serving I was consuming in a meal. Sounds like simple is going to be the key this time around. I'll def check out your blog. Thanks!

Since I'm starting over (and kicking myself for it) I want to log as accurately as possible. I don't log herbs/spices either, but I def want to log any fats I use for cooking. It's time consuming but I'm hoping it'll pay off this time!

This is an awesome idea. I'll give it try this weekend! Do you normally make the same recipe more than once? I could see that making my life a heck of a lot easier!
-
Feel free to add me too. I'm back on here after months of not logging. I have no excuse for losing motivation, but I did. I gained all the weight I lost back and I'm sick of starting over!

2 Van's gluten free organic waffles with 1 tbsp creamy peanut butter. 1 cup thawed frozen mixed fruit on the side. Or 2 hard boiled eggs on the side.

Exactly this. I use plant based Vega protein powder since whey destroys my stomach.

Lifting weights has helped me shed some weight off my midsection. I also take an abs class using resistance bands once or twice a week. Unfortunately there is no easy way to spot reduce around the waist. I think we'd all have 6 packs if that were the case :D

These prices seem cheap to me! I would eat a lot more produce if that were the case. Where I shop (in the USA) you can get 6 apples for $3 Bananas are about 50 cents/pound Kiwi when in season are around 25 cents each Peachs and nectarines go for 59 cents/pound when in season. Much more than that other times of year.…

1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use Vega) 1 cup frozen mixed fruit 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk 1 cup plain almond milk 1 T ground flax seed

Tacos Hamburgers Shepard's Pie Sloppy Joes Meatloaf Pasta with Meat sauce

This is exact what happened to me. I did a double take and quite audibly let out a "WTF."

I recently switched to Vega protein powder....instant relief :D

Did you try scanning the barcode in using the app? I find it much easier to log food that way.

I used to HATE cardio. Until I discovered Turbo Kick!! No more boring treadmill or elliptical for me. I was completely bummed I couldn't take the class last Monday because of the holiday. The weight started coming off after putting cardio into the mix instead of lifting every time I was at the gym.

I second Laughing Cow cheese wedges. I eat 2 at a time with carrot sticks.

http://p90xcalories.com/ Not sure how accurate this is. I agree with dwygtd though, a heart rate monitor is best!

You took the first step in your weight loss battle by joining this site :) Set a reasonable goal for yourself, track all the food you eat, start exercising more (even if it's just a fast paced walk in the evening). Make friends on this site to motivate you and keep you on track. Losing weight is never easy but it's…

I don't see any problem with that!

I try to have a protein shake no more than 45 minutes after a workout on the weekend. Weeknights I make sure dinner is either ready when I get home (slow cookers are a life saver), or will only take no more than 30 minutes to prepare. If you don't think you can eat a full meal after a workout for whatever reason, try…

Next to the "recent" tab you'll see a "frequent" tab. You may see the egg in that list if it's something you eat fairly often.

I take Turbo Kick which is pretty close to Combat. I burn around 660 calories in a 45 minute session. I'm 5'6" and 160lbs. Hope this helps!

I don't consider myself to be on a "diet" at all. I'm just using this site to track calories and exercise more closely. Like I said, this is the first time I've felt this way in the 5 weeks I've been using this app. I'm hoping this will pass soon!

Can't think of anything that's changed. I've had this weird feeling of being full. I try to eat and it feels as if I'm overeating. I forced myself to eat earlier and ended up having a great workout. This just isn't something I've experienced before.

Nope

I'm not eating anything different. Other than not being hungry I feel fine.

I make a smoothie most mornings made up of 2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1 cup frozen mixed fruit, 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder, and 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds.

I used it for a while but it just made me jittery and the fake sweet taste was horrible IMO. I stopped taking it to see if it was actually helping my performance and nothing changed. I switched to plain coffee and my wallet is now thanking me!
