  • That’s definitely a pair I wouldn’t have thought to put together! I used to looove hot dogs- and bologna but my favorite wasn’t the deli thin slices I liked the thicker roll you have to cut. And I was thinking of bologna and cream cheese and then thought if that were fried with something and all put together I can picture…
  • Thanks for all the information, I like to learn what other vegans are eating for protein. I am always looking for more protein and calcium!! I was a vegetarian since my twenties and this year and half gave up dairy, eggs and fish. I started eating more tofu and found that the spices and way I cooked it mostly in veggie…
  • Although the sandwich is not really an usual mix more of a veggie sub I guess!!
  • I used to have sandwiches with just lettuce tomatoes peppers and mayo and mustard! Was my favorite for a while. And sometimes with provolone and chips! What about tuna and olives and mustard. I used to get that from a local place here and the guys would comment on it always. Yummy!!
  • Interesting, my husband was on suxenda for maybe two months. He didn’t change his eating habits at all and lost 15 pounds which for him was good although without changing his choices in food I’m sure could have been a lot more!! He stopped taking it bc he reads about any and all information and read some people’s comments…
  • I love to hear what people snack on, especially vegetarian/vegan snacks. I like to bake a banana sprinkled with cinnamon and then top it w raw honey from the hive. I like to eat think brown rice cakes and a single pack of guacamole ( like to add olives). Or the rice cakes w nutritional yeast and some peanuts. Also…
  • I have found that learning meditation was essential for me. I did many different ones at first. And listened to motivational clips, teachers , gurus etc. I made myself every morning even though I didn’t believe what I was saying do positive affirmations and there’s some great ones to listen to. I did it for months until…
  • I can only speak from my experiences, I have had two children. My first I gained a lot and six years after my first I lost a lot of weight and noticed my tummy getting way smaller. Then after my second who was almost ten pounds I thought how is this going to go away!!!!!! I lost weight and started exercising and now notice…
  • One step at a time! That’s how I do it and my best to focus on today bc when I go into tomorrow or next week I’m just inviting the worry, anxiety, all that stuff that I don’t want or need in! You can do this and that’s a great first step to value yourself and believe you are worthy of good!! That’s awesome
  • Hey, I can only tell you what worked and works for me is positive self talk/affirmations. When I first started I really didn’t believe what I was telling myself but I kept doing it bc I wanted to! And telling myself everyday that I deserve good and I am worthy and all that started seeping in! And from there bc I felt…
  • Thank you yes I appreciate the advice. I am going to be taking a test for my dr to let me know what foods I’m eating that could not be good for my kidneys and all that. But yes it is something I want to stay on top of as far as any deficiencies or what I need to maybe slow down on or incorporate!
  • Sounds good thx! I do have to get some tests so I can see what I am deficient in and what I should be avoiding as far as for my kidneys. And yes I do like dark chocolate and have tried the Go Raw cacao squares. But really interesting that there’s apps that can tell you what nutrients you’re not getting enough of. I’m going…
  • I was just recently thinking how can I add chocolate just a little into my daily intake( especially since I was told to only eat chocolate in moderation bc kidney stones!) I was thinking maybe cocoa powder. In the past I’ve had cacao and it felt like I drank a cup of coffee. Does that happen with cocao? Or depending on how…
  • Yes might sound difficult to some but I am alright with learning how to eat as clean and healthy for the well being of my body and mind. It’s never too difficult- that’s why gaining as much knowledge and learning along the way and asking for advice works for me. It’s a learning process and one that I am happy to be…
  • Also I sent this post to get advice and help in what foods are good for protein, calcium, and to see what other vegans do for sweets. Not really to have to explain why I choose to eat this or that it just is and I’m still learning and want to continue to learn. To maintain health and balance within the body. I am open to…
  • When I say thickening agents and additives I’m speaking of guar gum xanthan gum cane sugars, syrups. In trying to eat clean and healthy I don’t want to see contains any guar gum, carrageenan and so forth. It’s obviously not easy to find things that are not going to have these and many others in them. I understand that,…
  • Also calcium for my kidneys I was told is important since I’ve had stones in the past and my old nutritionist said not to over due the vitamin C wich I get a lot of from all the veggies! I know it’s finding balance also.
  • So I’m assuming I don’t necessarily need a protein shake since I am eating tofu, chia, mostly all greens, seeds. Unless anyone has found one without any unhealthy additives. Any one eat rubhard?( not sure how to spell it). Would like to hear about that one!! Also any thoughts on frozen veggies compared to fresh? Obviously…
  • Thx for the help! I definitely think there is a reason also I crave chocolate besides just liking it! And also I didn’t even know you can eat collard greens w out being cooked! See there’s still so much to learn but i love it and find it fun checking out new foods that are clean & healthy. Thx
  • Also want to find a protein drink that has no additives and thickening agents. Not easy to find. Probably better off just eating chia and hemp and the actual seed/ food source
  • Thx, I recently gave tofu another chance I read for tofu beginners to get super firm and I’m guessing it’s all about the seasoning bc it was actually good. I would really like to get some good recipes for collard greens. Never had that but has lots of calcium/nutrients. Wonder if I can make make kale/collard chips? I do…
  • You can add me- I am vegan and love to talk about snacks or just food in general!! I eat vicariously through my friends!! I love to get to see what others are eating also it’s actually interesting to see what others log
  • You can add me as well!! I am a vegan and still love to think and talk about the foods I no longer eat!! But I can definitely lend support and motivation!!
  • Hey, been vegetarian for 20 yrs and last year turned vegan. You can add me although I don’t know how to add anyone!! I love to see what other vegans are eating and getting new ideas!!
  • Counting calories for me is really just being accountable and responsible and can help me plan out better my meals, snacks.
  • I don’t know how to add friends or check and see other peoples logs!!!!!! I didn’t know that can even be done and sounds neat, I would appreciate any help- I rarely use technology all I do is track my food daily on this app. Thx
  • My friend had just sent me a before and after pic! The after was her in a bikini and toned bc she goes to the gym everyday. She said was I really fat? I thought ok either she just wants me to see what her body looks like after all she’s put a lot of work into it or does she want a wow you look awesome. Either way my…
  • I can relate as far as addiction goes. Not easy but at least there’s a solution!! My addiction was anything that would take me away from myself. I had to start first with a program of recovery, therapy, and positive affirmations every day even when for months I didn’t believe what I was telling myself but I wanted to. And…
  • Yes I have been up and down and had two children. When I was younger up until children I was always very thin and still very insecure. Never felt in the past ok with my body. I guess we become programmed from maybe mothers, peers, tv to believe what we are taught to believe is acceptable. Instead of learning to be healthy…
