  • From 278 to 135.
  • I agree. I sooooo feel this. I have to physically *LOOK* in a mirror or take a picture of myself for me to really *see* myself. Like, my mind is still catching up to the fact that I’ve lost 140 lbs and that I’m not morbidly obese anymore, but rather, quite small. And sometimes I think, “Maybe I should lose 5 more lbs...”.…
  • 140 lbs difference
  • Thank you all so much! I would say the most important “key” to my success is consistency. If you consistently eat well & exercise, you WILL see results. It’s a matter of “when”, not “if”.
  • Starting weight: 278 lbs Current weight: 135 lbs Lost a little over 140+ lbs over a year & a half
  • So inspired by everyone on here!!
  • Starting weight was 278. Current weight is 135. I transitioned slowly from omnivore to vegetarian and then vegan & began slowly with exercise & pushed my endurance. I learned that consistency is key and it’s a lifestyle change, not a “diet”. I slowly removed the bad food from my life and replaced them with good so that my…
  • 150+ lbs lost!
  • Lost 150+ lbs SW: 278 CW: 127
  • Love this!! You look incredible & it's sooooo true that the scale is not the deciding factor. You're proof of that! Thank you for sharing!!
  • I think people should do what's right for them. If you want to weigh in every day– weigh in every day. If you want to weigh in once a week– weigh in once a week. No one should tell another what they think they should do. Everyone knows what's right for them. I personally weigh myself once a day, because, like DeannalFisher…
  • I've lost over 140 lbs & am choosing to get some excess skin removed in the next couple months. I was able to keep it pretty minimal, though, by building muscle & exercising regularly. Also, eating protein (to sustain the muscle during weight loss) and drinking plenty of water (HALF your body weight in water ounces) is a…
  • Before– 278 lbs After– 131 lbs Total loss, so far– 147 lbs ^_^ <3
  • Lost over 140 lbs. "Consistency is *EVERYTHING*". If you consistently eat well (to lose weight) & exercise (to gain muscle), you WILL see results. It's not a matter of "if", but, rather– "when". Wishing you well! <3
  • So far, I've lost a total of 147 lbs. Before, at nearly 300 lbs, people were nice... sort of. Men definitely didn't look in my direction, at all. And girls were fairly nice to me. I was just sort of... there. It's the total opposite now– Night & day, haha. Men are... very interested, haha. And women. Holy *kitten*. I never…
  • Congratulations on taking the first steps in becoming a healthier version of yourself! Excited for your journey! Something to keep in mind is that you eat well to lose weight & exercise to gain muscle. You can be walking your dogs and getting in enough exercise, but it's all about how much you put in your body that…
  • Hello, Allie! (: My name's Joanna. I'm 28 & started at 278. So far, I've lost 132 lbs and am at 146 lbs. I have 6 lbs to go until I hit my goal weight! (: I would LOVE to pass on some stuff I've learned & it would be an honor to support you through your journey. It can seem incredibly intimidating and impossible, but I…
  • You got this!!! So, SO proud of you!! <3 I've lost about 128 lbs (with 10 to go). It's definitely a learning process. It's all about changing your lifestyle (not calling it a "diet", because diets end), transitioning and gradually lowering your calories, and gradually working yourself up to an exercise regiment. Don't set…
  • Hello, all! I've lost a total of 127 lbs (with 11 to go). I'd love to be a support to anyone who's interested (: anyone can feel free to add me (:

  • I don't know if this has been posted yet or not but THE most important quote I've come across in my weight loss journey is: "Consistency is EVERYTHING." This has proven to be SO true. Also, "Eat right to lose weight. Exercise to gain muscle." MFP has proven to be incredibly inspiring and so, so helpful in my journey.
  • Hello!! ^_^ I'm 28. My starting weight was 278. Down to 188. I've lost about 90 lbs so far. Want to get to 120 (have 68 more lbs to go)! (: Would LOVE to encourage & support anyone interested! Feel free to add me, if you'd like!

  • Aaron, I'm working on my 3rd week with MFP and I LOVE it! Being able to log everything that I put in my body and how much I exercise is great! It's important to look at this as a lifestyle change– NOT a diet. Diets end. This is permanent. You're taking back control of your life. Some advice from my own experience– I…
  • I definitely recommend a low carb, high protein diet with enough healthy fats. Cutting out carbs AND fats makes people miserable. I definitely recommend authority nutrition (https://authoritynutrition.com/). They have an emphasis on meat AND plenty of veggies but little carbs. It's done wonders for me. Also, Dr. Furhman's…
  • I definitely suggest eggs. If I eat a 3 egg omelette, I'm totally sated for several hours (with exercise included). Plus, eggs are a super food. They are packed with nutrition. Beans are really good for sating the appetite, too. And you can never eat too many veggies. The more, the better. You can always eat your fill of…
  • Thank you so much for posting this. You're SO right– this ISN'T a "diet". Diets end. This is a *LIFESTYLE CHANGE*. I KNOW you can do this! You've done it once, you can do it again! And you don't have to starve yourself to eat right. You can eat plenty, as long as it's the RIGHT/HEALTHY stuff (: I'm so proud of you for…
  • I'm currently 245/246 needing to lose over 100+ lbs! Anyone can feel free to add me! I LOVE to motivate people and support people! (:
