Gah! I know how this happened but this coming off is going to be hard. Started with mapping out the day, breakfast and now off to the grocery..... one hour at a time...

The journey of a lifetime begins with a single step! You already took it!
Good luck to you!8 -
I started my journey at 374lbs two months ago. This morning I weighed in at 339.3lbs. I can't believe I am actually doing this...it honestly is hour by hour sometimes. Feel free to shoot me a friend request if you need some people in the same place you are!12

My suggestion is to spend a lot of time here at MFP. Make friends, read the success stories, log food (even if it's ugly), find a physical activity you like and don't give up no matter what happens in your life!!!4

You got this!!! So, SO proud of you!! I've lost about 128 lbs (with 10 to go). It's definitely a learning process. It's all about changing your lifestyle (not calling it a "diet", because diets end), transitioning and gradually lowering your calories, and gradually working yourself up to an exercise regiment. Don't set the bar too high too fast. That's why a lot of people give up. Slowly cut out the bad stuff, not all at once. If you drink 5 glasses of soda a day, maybe cut it down to 3 for a bit, then work down until you feel comfortable replacing it with healthier options. Begin incorporating healthier food and allow your body time to adjust. It took a minute for you to gain the weight, so it'll take a minute to get to where you need to be. Something to keep in mind, though, is *consistency is EVERYTHING*. It's like a math problem, an equation. If you consistency put healthier foods and add in physical activity, you *will* see results. It's as simple as that. It's a journey, but believe me, it gets easier as you go along. You'll start to see results and it'll motivate you to make even more awesome decisions. I always challenge myself to make the most of each day with the best decisions possible, so that, when I go to bed at night, I can be proud of myself! (: One of the first things I would suggest to you, if you don't mind, is slowly reducing your sodium. And log *EVERYTHING* you put in your body, even if it may seem embarrassing. Most people don't realize everything they're ingesting, like liquid calories (soda, juice), etc. And if you start to exercise, start out slow. When I was 278, it was really hard for me to move, so I started out with an exercise bike, because it allowed me to push myself, but while sitting. Once you start shedding weight, it'll be easier to move, and you can slowly work yourself up. The key is to be patient with yourself and be *consistent*. Wishing you the very best in your journey!!! I'm so, SO excited for you!! You're making one of the best decisions possible for your health and for your life. Beginning is half finished, in my opinion. Starting a weight loss journey is the hardest part. The rest will fall into place. You got this!!! Feel free to add me, if you're interested in being friends! (:5

Thanks! It's a journey and with 3 very active kids it's tough to focus on yourself but between basketball games I got a walk in.0

Believe.
I started changing my lifestyle at 385 lb last year; now down to 274. Plenty to go, but knowing how far I've already come is helping a lot!1 -
You can do this! I know it is frustrating but being here means you want this to work. I started at 378 Lbs on January 2, 2016 about 15 months ago. I was 49 years old at the time (now 50) I have lost a grand total of 182 Lbs and am now at 196. I still have 81 left to lose but I will get there.
Here is me in December 2015 and the new one is on 3/25/17.
I wish you the best on your endeavors.
