I have had the same issue, I had a bit of a problem with severe limitations on how I eat in the past, so on one hand counting calories made me feel safe, cos I knew exactly what was going in , but also it started to create a major anxiety when I couldn't weigh or measure somehow what I ate, eating out with…
-
I did a little experiment and one single day I did measure and wrote it down, but I didn't use the app, just to see if I sorta of knew my way around it, I was left within 10 grams of my macro nutrients and with 200 calories left, so I think that went pretty well! Still, it's bothersome to try and guess,so I continue to log…

Omg awesome!! XD thank you so much

I spent a good while reading all the new posts. Really interesting. But I'm a bit sad the person talking about the big food company seems to be gone.
-
I like to add cardio to my weight lifting routine, of course I track my food and calories but I'd have to eat a lil bit less if I didn't work out
-
No, i have fasted only on water though but for another kind of reason and it was one day and yeah no, I get cranky if I don't eat.
-
Never tried..I usually add avocado or peanut butter to bread so I couldn't cos I'd be full with a portion.
-
Saying most don't is an opinion as well ¬_¬
-
But most do, I did for sure, I had my good food list, bad food and had serious mental struggles when eating something "I should not eat". It was a taco with purslane for crying out loud! It does happen a lot, maybe not to all, but it is a not so good approach.

No grains? that's "clean eating/paleo" isn't it. Well I like grains, I don't care too much for processed foods but sometimes I'll have a pre-made vegan burguer , all within my mcaros/calories limit. works better for me. I do choose whole grain and similar cos I find it more fulfilling and I prefer it that way but others…

I feel quite hungry after I wake up so yes, for me a breakfast that is eaten very soon after waking up is important, but I stop eating at 8-9 pm usually, and go to sleep at 11, so it's been a while and I wanna eat!!!
-
THIS, all of this, is how I stopped "cheat meals" and planned some treats instead, very well written thank you so much!!! I'd like to post an excerpt on my blog, if that'd be ok with you, if not it's ok!!!
-
I used to but now I instead make "room" having some spare calories on the week ( I mind a weekly calorie intake instead of daily ) so if I will have something that I usually don't eat, like...chips, then I can have some without going over :3
-
Macros matter for example, if you want to build muscle ,well in my case I try hard to hit my protein goal, and not to go over in carbs or not by too much, of course keeping the deficit.
-
Merely answering your question, I think most people insist on that because, it is assumed you'd be using the application/website, which well, does count calories, if someone doesn't want to count calories as accurately as possible ( which comes with weighing and logging ) then they can of course try other methods but...…

Hi, I am, I think I got about 4 lbs to lose, in fat I mean, I don't like low calorie like 1,200 though and I lift so I'm going for a bit below maintenance and throwing some cardio, bet it's gonna be sloooooooooow but you can check my diary if you want, it's mostly "healthy" stuff and craft beer of course. :3 be well
-
@samhennings I am getting one of those, I don't really wish to spend soooo much and for what I will use it, that one seems pretty good,I've read and watched reviews as well, it seems to be the best buy for that price range.
-
Wouldn't that mean you are effectively eating only 1000 calories which is too little? I've been estimating and my max burn is around 600 cals, and only if I end up crawling but hooray for interesting numbers
-
I had never considered other methods besides calorie counting! I don't feel I have attained or have this intuitive eating system in-built, I guess it's similar to those programs with containers and colors, what's the name... 21 day fix? Very interesting topic here!! I guess I'll keep counting though cos I am just getting…
-
I tried that one when I was desperate!!! It "worked" till I ate normally again, if you like soups, make some and enjoy it but not as a flush, diet, etc. Body normally can get rid of toxins on it's own :D
-
I dislike cardio lol, I add some stationery bike or some HIIT 3 times a week after weight lifting, Just Dance Wii game 2 *week.
-
@pearable Hello there, you seem like a cool person, I like it especially that you engage with people's entry cos most people ,well don't interact enough, I also don't have a father figure, if you wish add me! Ah right, I'm Mexican living in... Mexico :P
-
It depends on what each person considers worthy. I shall not "use" calories on things that are not so nutritious and fulfilling. Others may do different, for some of us wasted calories are a thing
-
Weight training is mostly to preserve muscle and shape things around, I don't even try and log it anymore.
-
Nutrition timing matters if you are for example, going to train hard, empty calories do exist. But for your question, I mostly try to eat nutrient dense food, fried? Not really cos oil= around 114 calories per tbsp.
-
Anything that is not nutrient dense, fries, ice cream, soda. The rest is ok just gotta make it fit, yes pasta too, 40 grams are ok! I love beer on weekends.
-
1,500 calories :o ,wow I eat 1,900 and work out 3x week at the gym, maybe you should try checking how many calories you do burn ,cos Tabata is intense, and while I don't think you should eat all work out calories back, maybe about a 50% would be good, gotta fuel that car to run it!! PS weight, or better said, fat also…
-
Hmm I haven't timed it but.. I lift weights 3x week, average 35-45 minutes, except the butt day as I call it, which seems to never end and it's about a whole hour O_o with resting time of course, then 20-30 mins cardio or 20 HIIT, depends and the other days 35 minutes dancing, on Sunday NOTHING. so the total would be…
-
I'm a craft beer fan, I shall not quit it, but! I do drink way less than years ago, if anything cos 1: they are more fulfilling 2: They are pricier. So I work them into my calories and only for the weekends ;D
-
No problem, I know the struggle to get answers too!
