Welcome! :)

I agree with the others who have said it's certainly possible to lose at 1600 cals. I've found that a moderate cal intake (i.e. not super low) is more conducive to long-term results anyway. Good luck!

I also tend to consume more of my calories in the evenings. So far it seems to work out pretty well, but I'm trying to get a little more flexible about meal timing.

Metro Detroit, Michigan here.

Agree with the above posters -- I log everything. Helps keep me accountable :)

Don't get discouraged. You're doing great! I've found that weight loss isn't linear and expecting it to continue at the same pace consistently will result in frustration. Just keep your eye on the long-term goal. Keep up the good work!

I try for 40/30/30, but it's tough as a vegetarian, so most days it's closer to 50/25/25.

Michigan here as well! Metro Detroit.

I used to do a pretty restricted eating plan with some cheat days thrown in, but found that this led to a lot of yo-yoing. I've done much better just following a moderate eating plan on all days -- not super restrictive and no "cheat" days. Much more sane for me!

I was a diet soda addict for many years, but found that it gave me sugar cravings! I cut out sweetened sodas (artificial or otherwise) and now just do sparkling water. Barely miss the other stuff now.

Hi there. I'm not a vegan, but have been a vegetarian for 20+ years. Great ideas in this thread. Thank you!

I cut out diet soda a few years ago. I've found that club soda is a great substitute. With a fresh lemon or lime, it's pretty tasty! :)

I try to pre-log as well and generally estimate on the high side. Most of the restaurants I go to aren't in the MFP database though so that makes it tough (and time-consuming to guesstimate!).

Helpful info in here. Thanks!

Maintaining as well. Nice to see some long-term maintainers!

Metro Detroit area. Hi everyone!
