  • Why are you doing this diet?
  • Great thread. You look fantastic, I’m in the same position nearly at goal and wanting to start planning maintenance and a recomp to get rid of the last bit of visible fat pouches.
  • I lost 36 lbs in the first 8 months and had 3 x 1 week diet breaks on maintenance calories to cope with family events etc Good luck great thread x
  • You look amazing well done x
  • I’ve been consistently losing nearer 2lbs a week when I stick to my calories like I have in the last few weeks. I’m still weighing everything and sticking to the calories. My muscles have been sore this week from the increased exercise but I can already see more definition, which is ultimately my aim for the last 4 weeks…
  • I always use Strava it usually estimates about 50% less calories than MFP and you can keep track of your progress to keep your motivated.
  • That’s amazing well done. You look perfect already x
  • The only tip I would have is to plan when you are going to have a weekend or week of and change your goal to maintenance and keep logging so you don’t get out of the habit! And don’t weigh yourself for a few days after either so you don’t feel disheartened with a gain x
  • Hi and good luck, It’s amazing how the focus of a wedding can spur you on. I’m getting married in 5 weeks and have lost 42lbs since January only 4 lbs to goal. This is the longest I’ve stuck to a diet since I was a teenager now 42 and I’ve amazed myself at the choices I’ve made when I would have cracked and drunk wine or…
  • She does mainly weight training based. The dvd claims to boost you’re metabolism for 36 hours after and help to increase lean muscle. We will see what my results are after 4 weeks!
  • Well done for being brave and taking the first step towards a healthier you. It takes a lot of courage and strength to start what will be a long process and amazing strength to share with us all. Focus on one day at a time, you can do this x
  • Are you exercising? Try to add a little more exercise to your day, even if it’s just an extra 10 min walk daily. You’re body is lighter now so uses less energy to function and it will try to hang on to it’s reserves. Please don’t consider dropping calories any lower just try to move more and don’t be afraid to eat 50% of…
  • Out shopping yesterday and saw a lady wearing the same dress as me and thought that looks better on her! Then realised I was looking in a mirror 😂 Maybe I don’t need to avoid them anymore!!!
  • You’ve got plenty of time Laura, you can do it. I took a photo of my dress and photographed myself in it each month so I could see it getting closer and closer to it doing up, when I had a bad day or felt like giving up I looked at the photos and the picture of it on the model.
  • I log mine as cardio- General aerobics. It’s not quite as high a calorie burn as they claim for HIIT but not too far out. Good luck
  • I’ve been wondering the same thing and have.been trying to mix up what I eat and change the exercise routines every 4 weeks. So far I’ve had no real plateaus! 36.6lbs down and 10.6 to go.
  • I’ve had to buy a new mattress because the springs keep digging in to my hip bones and ribs!
  • Make sure you’re drinking regularly and not caffeine as this can be dehydrating. My partner used to get lots of muscle cramps. He now has a tablespoon of mixed seeds and chopped nuts on his breakfast cereal, recommended by his physio and this and switching some of his coffee for sugar free squash seems to help him. Good…
  • I’ve found that as well which is why I did some research. Try recording your body measurements instead, mine are still slowly decreasing even if my weight isn’t.
  • I’m hoping they’ll do a burger without the bun and swap the chips for a side salad!
  • Just focus on the end result. Make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids and try to reduce caffeine. You could try daily moisturising your legs and mix it with a little fake tan or by a moisturiser with fake tan in it. It will help to make the skin look smoother! If you’re really worried buy yourself a nice sarong to…
  • I am ahead of my goal. But the demon bride to be head is talking I’ve got 14 weeks left and 14lbs to goal!! Checked my body measurements which I usually only do once a month and since last week I’ve approx 2cm each off my thighs, calves, hips, upper arms and underbust. The only measurement to stay the same was my waist and…
  • I would give cycling a go first, especially if you’re carrying extra weight. It’s more gentle on your joints and the arches in your feet. If you build your fitness and muscle strength with cycling first you can then give a sofa to 5k program ago and see how running suits you.
  • I only drink once a week and aim for no more than 500kcal on alcohol that day. I exercise lots all week to compensate and don’t eat those calories back. So over the week I don’t go over
  • I plan a week of meals ahead and pin it on the fridge. This has saved money shopping too because I only buy what we need. I have created my own recipe collection on the app so I can log meals in advance and adjust my days meals around a tea everyone will eat. I always aim for 1/2 a plate of veg or salad to keep calories…
  • 10llbs is definitely achievable. I would try and keep your carbs to about 50% this should help keep your blood sugar stable and make sure you eat regularly. I’ve tried doing a 15-20 min HIIT session 4 mornings before breakfast and work. It seems to have increased my weight loss well so far. I generally don’t eat many of…
  • My partner used to get bad cramp his physio advised him to eat a few nuts & seeds every day to increase potassium and magnesium and eat more green leafy veg. It seems to have helped him .
  • You could also look at resistance bands. They take up minimal space and you can take them anyway. I started with dynabands and now have a wall mounted set of bodylastics in my garage.
  • I use Marie winsor there is a full set of 7 cds on you tube the 1st one teaches you the basics, a bit boring but essential to watch as it teaches you correct breathing and positioning. You can then progress through the others at your own pace. Good luck
