Did you get the hormonal or non-hormonal IUD? I've switched between several different BC pills and they all give me crazy anxiety/depression. I do want to have kids someday so I don't want to take the shot or the arm insert thing. I was interested in the non-hormonal IUD for these reasons.

We're pretty much twins :D I'm 21 years old, 5'5" and 122 lbs. I used to do insanity with Shaun T but I'm switching to Jillian Michael's 30 day shred because I don't think I need such an aggressive workout anymore. I started my journey at 138 lbs and it's taken a year to get where I am now. I don't think I need to lose any…

I'm excited for the happiness jar challenge! What a creative idea :)

I struggle with my body image too and when I look in the mirror I remind myself that I'm working towards a healthier me, I will get there, I will accomplish my goals and I will love my body. This journey takes time and you have to have faith not only in the process but in yourself as well <3

The whole time I'm reading this I'm thinking "I hope she's drinking enough water!" lol. I've read misc. articles on lifting diets and most do say to eat more carbs on days you work out. I would ask your trainer about balancing your macros and if they don't know I'm sure your doctor will. You can customize your macros goal…

I know I'm a couple days late to the party but I'd like to spend 15-20 minutes a day meditating. I've been meaning to do this for a while but haven't made the time to do it. My life has become such a blur I want to take time each day to get my mental ducks in a row and just breathe.
-
@ABTballet98 I sometimes struggle reaching 1200 also. When I don't meal prep sometimes I only get 700 a day which is terrible! For some reason I can't really tell if I'm hungry so I have a set schedule when I need to eat to make sure I get at least 1400-1500 calories a day. I lost 15lbs over 3 months of doing a very strict…

Me too! I've slacked almost this entire month. Time to get back on the wagon!

I had a breakfast essentials shake for breakfast, lunch was grilled cheese with wheat toast (I toast my bread then add cheese and microwave), dinner will hopefully be grilled boneless skinless chicken thighs with sautéed veggies and I will slice up a cucumber for a snack! Not a whole lot to eat but I'm rather short on…

I don't like how I look in pictures either but I always tell myself "I WILL look better. All it takes is consistency. If I keep working hard I'll get what I want eventually. Quitting has never gotten anyone closer to their goal." I wish you all the best of luck on your journeys. May we all love ourselves a little more…

I'm 5'5" 123lbs eating close to 1400 calories on recomp. I would speak to a nutritionist about what you can change in your diet to help you lose fat and gain lean muscle. Also lifting will help you tone up. It's important to get the right nutrition for lifting though. Best advice is talk to a specialist/professional.

I manually changed my macros % to something closer to body recomp. It's not exactly how I wanted it but it similar at least. I put in the amount of calories I want to eat each day then adjusted to % of each macronutrient accordingly. It doesn't let you change your grams unless you have premium.

I did some math equation with my bf% and found out how many pounds of fat I have on my body and subtracted that from my weight and found my goal weight. It was crazy low I thought so I settled on 125 but now that I'm under that I think I can push even further and get down to around 117 (which was the crazy low goal I…

I hadn't been clothes shopping since before I started losing weight (8 months ago). I bought one size smaller than I used to thinking they might still be too small but turns out I could have gone even one size smaller! Down two pants sizes!
-
I found a great article I wanted to share about body fat %. https://www.muscleforlife.com/how-to-measure-body-fat-percentage/ Thanks everyone for your great advice and ideas!

Female, my BMI is 21%. I'm not sure what my body fat % is and I'm slightly confused at the difference now or how to find it out considering other users previous comments. I have little to no fat on my stomach though but no muscle really. Just looking for good/fun exercise suggestions to strengthen my core :)
-
Installing the app on my phone right now!

My BMI is 21% and my calorie goal is to maintain my current weight and BMI%. If I start lifting heavy weights shouldn't I increase my calorie intake so I don't lose weight and develop an unhealthy BMI that is too low? I've heard often in these forums that to gain muscle/mass you should eat in surplus.
-
I've lost all the weight I wanted to now but I apply to all the rest! Feel free to add me :)

So to gain muscle you want to cut back on cardio? Is that the general consensus? I am at my goal weight and BMI and am starting the maintenance phase but would like to tone up. I was planning on running every day and doing some strength training as well but it sounds like that will be counterproductive? I'm afraid if I…

I would say you're active. I know when you set up your goals for MFP and Fitbit it asks how active you are or aren't based on your average daily steps or your type of job. Really activity is based on what you do for the majority of your day not only how often you work out. If you have a physical job where you are on your…

OP: I have felt the same way throughout my entire journey and now that I'm at my goal weight I still haven't stopped pushing. Even though the weight is gone I still have guilt if I don't workout one day or have a cheat meal. I did however always have one rest day a week. Not by choice but because of circumstance. Instead…
