  • Woot!
  • It is my reason for fasting. That and burning visceral fat. I am going to ask for fasting insulin levels at my next doctor appt. Also, because of my history of Gestational Diabetes and multiple pregnancy loss, my ultimate goal is to be able to achieve a viable pregnancy where I am not diabetic.
  • Thanks everyone! Actually had a post fast woosh this morning, down another 2.6lbs. Probably will gain back a little, but I'll take it for now.
  • I feel ya sister. I had the absolute worst day yesterday as far as cravings, hunger, exhaustion, etc... I wanted to eat the entire house. I have been at this two months, so to have those feelings reappear again after having such an uneventful shark week last month was jarring. I didn't really have a plan for that. So I…
  • Have one. Love it. Was tempted to buy a second one for bone broth making efficiency.
  • The marscapone in coffee/espresso suggestion is genius. That is my lunch today.
  • We have 6 rescued Boston Terriers! Rescue is our passion in this house, and we are suckers for the senior unadoptable ones with medical needs. Our old guy has diabetes, but he also has a really touchy gut so we are limited as to what we can feed him. He eats a combo of prescription and limited ingredient venison food that…
  • They are so good. Yummmmm.
  • Cut in half, scoop seeds out.

  • It's made with butternut squash and cauliflower. It was effing amazing. The topping is pecans with butter, sweetener, cinnamon, and garlic salt. I think I liked it better than actual sweet potato casserole.
  • Happy Thanksgiving! See my Ketogiving post for all the delicious food I made. Not shown is creamed spinach. It was a wonderful day full of fatty Keto foods and it was a good family day too!
  • @baconslave what a difference! You look like the daughter of yourself in the first pic.
  • Thanks everyone!
  • You rock! So excited for you! It amazes me how quickly the sugar gets regulated. You body and your kids thank you!
  • Look up No-poo method.
  • I will eat all the things and not log anything at all. I'm putting so much work into this that I want to be able to enjoy all the food. I'm guessing my satiation will win out though.
  • I don't really exercise at all, but I'm interested in trying fasted exercise.
  • These are great!
  • Dinner is at 2. Half of my siblings won't be there so there is room at the table!
  • http://mariamindbodyhealth.com/paleo-stuffing/ This stuffing looks promising

  • http://www.wholesomeyum.com/recipes/pecan-roasted-better-than-sweet-potato-casserole-low-carb-paleo/ So this has 10 net carbs per serving. A little high but worth it for thanksgiving I think!
  • I found the sweet potatoe casserole on Pinterest. I'll see if I can find a link. The stuffing will either be pork rind stuffing or cauliflower stuffing. I don't know which cheesecake I'll do yet. Hubby wants New York style, and then I saw a chocolate one with a ganache that looks amazing. Just google low carb cheesecake…
  • Good for you for taking control of your health! I am not diabetic, but I am insulin resistant and have had gestational diabetes (I know, totally different than T1). It makes so much sense to treat the disease proactively with what you eat instead of reactively with more insulin. I think the biggest thing is knowing you are…
  • Awesome! I was surprised at how easy it was for me. But it seems now that I started eating tonight I can't stop. Lol. But I kept my macros good for the day. I'll be doing another fast in a few weeks as long as I'm not pregnant. But I'll probably need to plan out some things to keep me busy, or I'll do it during the week…
  • Oh, he's a foodie. There's no fooling him!
  • Completed at 45 hours. I'll go longer next time, I just felt it was a good time to stop. I felt fine the entire time, it was never difficult, and I feel like I'll be able to extend my IF time because of this!
  • That's great! What is the biggest benefit you have seen so far, and what has been your biggest struggle? And I know there are more Facelift Friday pics out there! I want to see them! Even though it's not Friday any more lol
