  • Hello, I'd love to join please. Seems a great idea to take it small 10 day chunks. Much easier to stay focused. Round 38 SW 166.5 Round 38 GW 164.5 20.4 - 166.5 21.4 - 22.4 - 23.4 - 24.4 - 25.4 - 26.4 - 27.4 -

  • Hi Morgen Im Janet from NI....just outside Belfast. You are doing brilliantly! Keep up the good work. Feel free to friend me. :)
  • Ok so here are my stats. Cw 145 Gw by 31 Jan 139 (an extra lb just cos I don't wanna be in the 140s any longer!) I'm supposedly having a dry January but already have 2 dos arranged that I need to attend :#
  • Well I started at 155 and have finished at 145. Was down to 144 during the challenge but CHRISTMAS got in the way of me. Anyway, 10lbs is not to be sniffed at so I'm pretty happy. I'm afraid I can't update the spreadsheet as I'm on iPad and won't have access to a pc until monday.
  • Just outside Belfast :)
  • I'm in! I shall weigh in the morning (I'm scared!) and will enter my stats then. The whole month of December has screwed me right up and I'm terrified of what I'm going to see on those scales but I'm ready to get back at it. Good luck everyone!
  • Yes please! I have enjoyed this challenge....down 11 lbs on this one and very happy with that. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it up over Christmas. Definitely in for a NY challenge. Your spread sheet is fab! Thanks!
  • My back had been killing me, my bras were so tight but I did not want to spend money on new underwear when I have drawers full of good, nice stuff. I went to a BBQ at my boss's house. We were sitting on the veranda with a glass enclosure. I glanced in the glass and saw my reflection except it was not me looking back. I did…
  • Not Thanksgiving here in the Uk but I went off plan, drank 8 beers and ate a whole 12 " pepperoni pizza myself! I'm a bit cross with myself as I would not have normally eaten the pizza before I started keto! I was sitting in the pub guzzling my beer and all I could think of was grabbing a pizza on the way home. I did and I…
  • Down to the last hole on my belt! Bras are too roomy (not a great look :D ). Was told in work yesterday that I am tiny.........!!! WTH?? Im certainly NOT tiny but my tummy has definitely shrunk.

  • I'm totally with you on the salty/sweet thing! If I have cals left over at the end of the day I have 30g peanut butter with 35g of Wensleydale cheese with cranberries. OMG its like the most delicious dessert I could imagine - my 2 favourite things. I'm actually still surprised that 6 weeks in I can eat like this and lose…
  • Well my girls have disappeared and I am left with 2 deflated bags of skin. Not attractive! Being a relatively newly single girl and thinking of getting back on the horse so to speak, I'm worried about how these will be perceived (if I ever meet anyone that I want to get it on with!). I'm seriously considering a boob job…
  • Thank you for setting up this challenge. It is definitely helping me stay focused on my goals and eating habits. This week I am down 3.5 and last week was the same. I am very happy. Next week is TOM so expect to stay same or even see a rise but I can live with that (just)!
  • Again, this is based on ME and MY experience, no one else's. LCHF is working brilliantly for me. In the first week of seriously lowering my sugar and carb intake, my hunger totally vanished. My 2pm post lunch slump disappeared and I didn't feel the need to go to bed as soon as I got in from work. I lift heavy weights 3-4…
  • Hi I'm Janet from Northern Ireland. I'm 45 and currently 30 lbs away from my goal weight of 125. I'm a single mum who loves to work out, lifting heavy weights and walking. I've been on mfp before under a different name with very little success. I didn't really try to be honest and never used any of the brilliant resources…
  • It's not one size fits all. I am low carb but that's because I love the food I get to eat. I LOVE cheese, butter, cream bacon. I mean I LOVE them lol. I understand now that what made ME fat was the crackers, bread, pasta and sugar that I used to eat along side these things. So I've cut those things out, eat the things I…
  • I love reading everything I can about lc. I'm averaging around 12-15% carbs a week. I eat very little veg apart from sweet pepper and sugar snap peas. I'm wondering if anyone can help with my tdee? I walk (fast) 5,6,7 times a week for min 1 hour. I lift heavy 3 times a week for min 1 hour. This exercise is not a new…
  • I'm searching these out today! Thanks

  • Ok so I've bitten the bullet mad gone up to 1800 cals. Feel ok. I was suitably hungry today although I did lift for an hour and walk at about 4.5mph for another 2. Ate all the food and feel good. I'll see what next week brings but maybe increase again a bit then. Thanks.
  • Also plan to stay LCHF (its like a cheat day every day!), keep up the exercise, drink plenty of water, get plenty of sleep and avoid alcohol. Good luck everyone.
  • I've added myself. Thanks for the kick up the *kitten*!
  • To be perfectly honest, every day feels like a cheat day to me on this woe! Eating cheese, bacon, nuts, peanut butter, butter, cream.......all the things I adore and have avoided over the years. I love it!
  • And to finish me off, I've just had 30g peanut butter with 46g Wensleydale cheese with cranberries as a dessert. Omg.....what is not to like with this woe?!
  • Thank you all so much for taking the time to read and answer, I really appreciate it. To answer a couple of questions, I have no health problems, take no medication and am pretty healthy it seems. On my last visit to docs I was asked if I'm an athlete as my resting heart rate is so low :p Also, the exercise is not new.…
  • Thanks so much for taking the time to reply and look at my diary. Yes you are right, I have increased my calories. The guy I train with advised that on my activity levels (the ones I outlined above are minimum levels) and based on my TDEE, that I should try and increase the cals. In fact he wanted me higher than 1650 and…
  • Sorry should have said..... Female, 45 yrs old, 157 lbs, 5ft 5", cals set to 1650 per day. Thanks!
  • No they are absolutely NOT lying. You look fantastic! <3
  • Thank you Ichel. Ive decided today to inch up to 1700. Everything I read here and elsewhere just tells me that this is the right thing to do. Ive tried low cals in the past (not for a while I must say) and yes, they work initially but long term I just end up starving and depressed! Ive been around gyms and have good…
