Nicely done! Sometimes it takes an uncomfortable doctor's visit to light that fire. Though you are not where to you want to be yet (but you will be) you should also recognize that you are in such better shape now than when you started - soon you will be skipping steps as you run between floors. So awesome!

So true... was 110 degrees yesterday and I cut the lawn and gardened and I was a little warm... 100lbs a go I would be staring out the window at the grass growing in air conditioned comfort. Just make sure you drink lots and lots of water when spending time out doors in the heat!

Calorie deficit is key. As long as your calories at are at your target you shou achieve your desired weightloss. Macro suggestions above are right. Key to portions is logging and weighing your food. Buy your self a simple digital kitchen scale - you can find then for $10-15 Walmart and weigh and record everything in MFP.…

Really simple - if you haven't done it yet - simply go into the MFP app on your iPhone, then go to 'Settings', 'Apps & Devices', and click on 'Health app' and follow the instructions... Enjoy!

1200 calories sounds quite low. I recently had to increase my daily limit as I was having a hard time sticking to it and I just was not getting enough and I was plateauing. Per the comment above I would let MFP prescribe you a target. All the best!
