Hi lovely sorry for the late reply. How are you going on your weight loss journey? I have found doing strength training had been great for toning the body. I still struggle with my lower body but it is a work in progress. I don't have any loose skin as I took my weight loss slow over about a year.

I suggest possibly learn to love the body you're in right now? This year I've probably gained about 3kgs but am most likely the strongest and fittest I have ever been. I am not as thin as I once was but I am still happy with the way I look....strong and fit. Yes my body is larger but I am also toned and have a nice shape…

If you want to lose fat and gain muscle which is what I think you are trying to say you need to try and lose weight (fat) first and then try and build up to strength training to gain miscle. If you are trying to recomp it can be quite difficult to master. I'd also suggest upping your protein intake and if not already get a…

If you want to maintain the weight you have whilst decreasing your normal amount of exercise you either need to increase the amount of exercise you do (including cardio) or decrease the amount of calories you are consuming. I'd suggest if you are injured take it easy and just eat a little less food.

You need to concentrate on looking after yourself and your baby for the first six months before you should contemplate any weightless plan. Go easy on yourself. You just grew and birthed a baby. I suggest you listen to the podcast Half Size Me.

Results from a recent bulk and 4kg gain. Drop in body fat and built muscle. Back and booty progress

Took me a year to lose around 18kgs trust the process!

Hey hun have just done a month long bulk and now entering my first cut cycle. I'm a newbie lol. I'm currently carb cycling so high carb days on my workout days and low carb high fat and protein on my non workout days. Will be following this thread!

I've recently done a bulk and would suggest just adding in more calorie dense foods to reach your calorie target and tracking your calories until you get the hang of eating more food. Don't be scared to have a bit of cheese or ice-cream...just in moderation but hitting your calorie target.

Hey hun I have recently done a bulk have put on 4kgs and have grown my arms and booty whilst keeping a small waist. If you want a booty with good muscle definition eat more and lift heavy. If ur not mentally ready to gain weight I'd suggest maintaining and recomping and hitting the weights working on your lower body.

I have gained 4kgs and lost body fat...I go to the gym and do weights to have a better body composition. If I had just gained 4kgs in body fat without working out I'd just look unhealthy.
-
When I was tracking consistently I just pre tracked everything at the beginning of the day so I knew what I was going to eat so it didn't interfere with anything...if I ate anything else I would just add it at the end of the day. I've always estimated/eyeballed everything and never had an issue. Life's too short to be…

Perhaps add in some calorie dense foods like cheese or ice-cream to make sure you are getting enough calories in. Wouldn't hurt especially if you are still losing.
-
If you're not lifting heavy you're unlikely to make any gains from the bulk as the weights you are using are too light so you're more likely to gain fat mass rather than muscle especially if it's a dirty bulk. If you do want to gain mass I'd suggest upping your protein and lifting heavier increasing the weight each week…

I'd suggest getting magnesium as a supplement to help with muscle recovery

If you want to make that area stronger doing handstands may help. Start by leaning your feet against a wall and holding yourself up as long as you can.
-
The only way to get a flat stomach is through consistency...it takes time. It literally took over a year for my abs to start to show. Keep doing what you're doing and trust the process.

I have a little bit of loose skin around my lower belly which I'm hoping will tone up as I progress..it is a lot better than what it was. Arms I do a lot of upper body exercises...at home I've done a lot of pushups and pull ups exercises. While at the gym I do bench presses over head press and chest presses with both the…

Yep have been on risperidone since I was 16yrs old...have lost over 20kgs.

Thank you

I think maybe you need to stop comparing yourself to others and start being happy and comfortable in your own skin. Body dysmorphia is a real thing and is not healthy. When you look back on pictures of yourself in your 50s you'll realise how thin you really were. There's so many other things in life to worry about than…

Huge difference! Well done!

Hi sorry I forgot to say! I'm only 5 foot 1 and a half
-
Me at my heaviest on the right 82kgs on the left me today at around 56kgs. That's about a 26kg weight loss. I initially lost 20kgs then gained 10kgs back then lost a further 15kgs. It has taken several years to get to this point. I am now in a good place mentally and emotionally with a good support system so I know I will…

It isn't recommended for women to have body fat this low because it can cause fertility issues it's different for body builders because they're intentionally aiming for a very low bf%. For the average woman bf% anywhere between 18-25% is healthy.
-
I've done this several times. It is more a mental thing than anything. The previous time I lost 20kgs then gained 10kgs back but caught myself before I gained it all back lost the 10kgs plus 5kgs more. I am now in a good place mentally and emotionally and will not be gaining it all back! It helps to have a good support…

Fitting into size 6 jeans yesterday! Yay!

During quarantine I did mainly body weight exercises which involved push ups chin ups lunges and hip thrusts and HIIT once or twice a week. I'm currently the leanest I have ever been. All done from home!

You won't really know your bf% until you actually get some type of body scan. Are you male or female? 15% body fat is very low for a female and not recommended. Also in regards to body fat on your stomach we all have it only thing that can fix it is your diet and macros. Upping protein will definitely help. I've lost…

Hi there...it would be best to start with light weights for your upper body say 1 or 2kgs and then slowly add more weight as your strength begins to improve. Women are usually naturally stronger in their lower body. Also to build strength in arms without using weights you could practice doing push ups from your knees to…
