I lost 7 pounds so far this year, yay!!!! It's definitely possible to lose weight and get in shape over 40. It's just taking longer than it did before. I had to measure and weigh my food precisely to lose those 7 pounds. Wasn't easy but I'm definitely worth the fight. Gotta keep it up!

I love smoothies! And M-F it's always easiest for me to make a quick shake. I drink IdealShake and liking it so far, pretty tasty. I already meal prep and plan lunch and dinner, adding a shake during the week helps me so much.

Yes I've learned to just enjoy the food but log it! I'm all for margaritas vs fat free dressings, lol.

I also had 100 lbs to lose, about 70 lbs to go. What I found easiest to follow is not to "diet" at all. I eat whatever I like or crave but just make sure it fits within my calorie range. I love this!!!! I totally agree 100%! It may take a little longer but our goals are still very attainable. I know a few people who are in the best shape of their lives over 40. And running circles around some 20 year olds.
