First three days in the rear view mirror, that's the toughest part! Yes, this does feel like an experiment, with a sample size of 1 (and no control sample). That's why I love this group; it helps immensely to see how others are experiencing OMAD. What a wonderful way to enter your next decade!

I am confident the body will respond to consistent application of OMAD, stay strong!

Not sure why, maybe you are releasing fluids throughout the day. I'd just concentrate on weighing at the same time of day for each weigh-in. I know my weight varies 2-3 lbs throughout the day, but I haven't checked mornings vs. evening since on OMAD.

For this week, 1.5 lb gain, for a total weight loss of 25.5 since Dec 30. Kind of in a weird couple of weeks, weight is fluctuating up and down, although looking at the trend it, okay, I guess? But strictly by the numbers I show a 1.5 lb gain this week (last Saturday was the low point). Oh well, keep up the discipline. I…

Gym mirrors, dojo mirrors . . . . the full wall treatment is rough.

Welcome aboard @rachel98178 !!! You'll love it here.

I love that I'm in contact with people who ask questions like this and make me wonder "Why am I blanking out . . .?" Hmmmm, gotta ponder that some.
-
Here is today's . . . . whoops, looks like I slipped too high for one minute. That explains that second piece of french bread at dinner tonight. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it . . .

Gray Eminence isn't so bad . . .

The nice thing about OMAD, it's always there to pick it up again when you decide. No prep! Glad to see you stay on the blog even when you're having a rough patch. You know what to do . . . ;)

yep, the fasting high is pretty cool

Jason, on those days when I can't get out of lunch for work reasons, I usually try to arrange for a salad. It hasn't seemed to have hurt my progress. Just keep it to stuff that won't spike your blood sugar (and insulin) . . . like vegetables and fats. Avoid carbs or even protein, if you can manage. That way at least you're…

I get on the elliptical for 30 min a day, and I find if I allow my heart rate drift above the cardio zone (139 for my age), I tend to get really, really hungry. If I keep it between 114-139, no problem.
-
I've tried explaining it this way: I've cut back on eating, I only eat 9 meals a week. They get a funny look as they do the math, but for some reason goes over better than 'one meal a day'
-
Welcome aboard @KetoKaHee !!! Looking forward to hearing your experience as someone who has existed "on the other side" of healthy eating.
-
Quite interesting, especially since you've been a fitness competitor! What sort of full-body weight exercises do you do? And why did you discard the cardio altogether?
-
Simplification of the daily routine just to keep oneself fed is a major benefit of OMAD. Glad it's coming along! First 3 days are the toughest, it gets much better after that.
-
Wow, that's great!
-
Lack of worry is a wonderful attribute, and one that shows this is the right path.
-
That is an awesome set of records, and so consistent! It shows that you want this badly.
-
Sorry the pic didn't turn out, you are not only doing great, you are inspiring and informing others! That being said, everyone is allowed a moment now and then, it's okay.
-
Soooooo close to the 190's!!! Terrific!
-
So awesome, congrats on your progress!
-
Wonderful start! Still feeling good?
-
Yes, the 45-day jinx is in the rear view mirror! It's been 68 days, woohoo!!! (thanks for the reminder, I had forgotten about that) ;)

I am quite familiar with the frantic, panicky hunger urges . . . you will be happy to know they subside. Most days, hunger just feels different . . . I feel empty, not frantic hunger pangs. Now and then hunger gets worse than that, but it's not that often. Like @Mom2annie has called it, "head hunger". A big part of it (for…

Glad to see you've started your own discussion thread!

Hi, by Silva do you mean the book or something else? I had read the book years ago and found it extremely powerful, wondering if it has been updated.
-
Welcome aboard @flanaganjim1 !!! I'll be excited to follow your progress and to learn if you rediscover your muse. Please start a discussion thread so we can follow your progress. Judging by your introduction, your updates will be good reads.
