I have a Rogue deadlift pad and 610lb of rogue plates in my garage. I enjoy pulling when the weather is nice, but let me tell you that home gyms are a complete waste of time in my opinion. Unless you have a double insulated garage and AC you literally have to go with the current weather conditions, which sucks being that I…

Some solid accessories to up your bench are dips, over head press, and close grip bench. I mean your whole body really comes into play with the bench press so you really need to hit your back hard as well.

I've been taking creatine daily for a few years now (maintenance dose of 5g). You definitely have to take it daily for it to actually work for you. I also agree that if you're new to working out there is no need to take it until you get stuck in a rut. You definitely dont look like you just started lifting tho lol.

Definitely would never discourage squatting to low depths I just know how common it is for people to roll their lower back and let their knees collapse. Take what I said out of context because there is no need for me to correct what I said. The point is "a s s to grass" is a joke when you don't have the basics down. I know…

I never said not to go low I just said its a misconception to go as low as possible because most people butt wink and have horrible form. She suffers from pain when she squats so I am giving advice as to how she can fix things. Also, good for you I also go a bit below 90 as well and dont butt wink at all because I made…

All I have to say is you're asking all of the right questions. Never cheat the myfitpal app and get those calories in by meeting protein, carb, fat goals, etc. Your food intake is what its all about and I feel many people don't take that part seriously until they plateau (speaking from personal experience). Also, from…

Post a vid so we can help critique. I definitely recommend watching Silent Mikes instructional vids or Omar Isuf. A big misconception is when people think going below 90 degrees is proper. Many people squat super low and suffer from "butt wink" which means they roll their lower back out a bit and feel pressure in all of…

All good man appreciate the response. I enjoy following the Super training guys like Silent Mike and Mark Bell cause I literally live down the road from their gym in sac. I'm about to start another Kizen program they have because their bench program worked pretty well for me. Ill look into that program you mentioned cause…

I agree and apologize for the misunderstanding sir. I never intended to have like 10 people try to battle me in this discussion haha.
-
Basically you were being hypocritical telling me not to give someone a hard time about their numbers but you did the exact same thing to me. You're like 14 years older than me and have easily been working out a lot longer than I have lol. I really don't care but you're missing the point completely. This all started by me…

I got my bench up a bit using the kizen bench program that silent mike put out. My bench spiked up 10 pounds in 7 weeks benching twice a week.

An easier solution would be to stay relevant and don't go off topic. If you choose to go off topic then you need to be more clear. How can you prove any points if you're not actually explaining yourself properly? If you told us that you have injuries from things outside of weight lifting then I would have probably stopped…
-
Hate to break it to you but its not an assumption when we are on the topic of lifting weights and you talk about injuries in the middle of your argument in regards to the discussion. Any normal person would correlate that to the discussion. Be more clear if you choose to disagree. If we are talking about heavy weights and…

You make some great points. Genetics definitely play a huge factor too so you cant just look at numbers and form an opinion.. Still think you're out of pocket when you say you'd offer the same advice when you haven't seen him lift either.
-
You clearly want to argue and I don't care to argue with you at all. You're not asking anything different from the last guys posts so I don't see the need to engage with someone who is trying to make me look like the bad guy lol.
-
He said 2 years with a ton of gaps so thats not 2 years and thats no time under the bar man. Yes I could be making some assumptions but you all are taking my comments the wrong way completely. So being the online coach that you are you dont agree that form trumps all?
-
Ok cool no need to pry at the discussion. Thanks
-
The root of my comment was him telling a beginner to go heavier and drop the reps before they learn the movement. You are correct I definitely did come off wrong and didn't mean it like that. My point is don't take advice from people who haven't really accomplished much in the sport. Am I saying I have accomplished a lot?…
-
How about you read the thread before jumping to conclusions. I called him out because he was telling a noob to start going heavier and cut down the reps. MY POINT IS WHO CARES ABOUT WEIGHT WHEN YOU STILL HAVENT LEARNED THE MOVEMENT PROPERLY!!!
-
Listen, I never threw the guy shade for his numbers ok? I'm not one to say oh you're weak so don't speak. That type of mentality is such a waste. I was telling him that if you're a beginner you shouldn't jump straight into powerlifting routines if you don't even have the basics down. Also, it seems like you are a bit…
-
Strength comes with experience and knowledge. Ask any power lifter out there and they will tell you how they have learned so much from their injuries that have happened over time and how they have adapted (tweaking technique, routines, weight, therapy etc). As to your injuries, I can tell that you probably practiced…
-
Since you added to your comment i'll address that as well. Are you comparing yourself to Lyle Mcdonald? Anything physical requires much trial and error to achieve your goals. Nobody usually jumps on a compound movement and naturally has great form without hours of practice and failure. Never should you take advice from…
-
I did see that and take it from someone with experience that its not accurate. You could easily be stronger (or weaker) than that number you posted so don't let that mess with you mentally. I specifically commented on this because I used to use that and I let fake numbers get to me. People who haven't developed proper form…
-
Not to burst your bubble but the strength calculator is not that accurate and you cant base your 1rm off of that. You should get your numbers way up before you start offering your coaching on peoples routines. Bench - 325lb Squat - 425 DL - 455
-
Yea you're absolutely correct! When it comes to building strength he is definitely a good resource to use. I didn't feel the need to go on a rant about the numerous amount of ways he developed that strength and intensity throughout his years but thanks for pointing out the obvious.

Check out Mark Bell from the super training gym in sac. Mark is on the Keto diet and hes a beast.

First thing is you need to completely change your mindset and enjoy the process of getting in shape. I always tell everyone that if you don't make exercising a lifestyle it wont last so don't even begin to waste your time. As these people say above, you really need to get your nutrition on point by at least eating your…
