A little over 2 years ago I wanted to start lifting weights and change the way my body looks. So I did what I normally do. I opened google and started searching and gathering information. It was overwhelming. There was information that didn't make sense, there was a lot of contradictions and opinions. I was not sure who was trustworthy and who was repeating lies they learned.

After spending some time reading posts and links that have been provided these are a couple of people that jump out as trustworthy:

Lyle McDonald: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/
(this article is probably one that I found most useful: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/muscle-gain/initial-body-fat-and-body-composition-changes.html)

Eric Helmes: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8fhb7upVSZ0q-zK5snR9BA
The Muscle and Strength Training Pyramid & The Muscle and Strength Nutritional Pyramid series are awesome!

Bret Contreras: https://bretcontreras.com/ The glute expert butt (hehe) is knowledge about so much more. He actively posts information on facebook.

Alan Thrall: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRLOLGZl3-QTaJfLmAKgoAw
His how to squat, barbell row, deadlift, bench press, overhead press videos are amazing. He really goes into a lot of detail.

MFP Posters: Psulemon & Sidesteel are active posters who often provide research links to back up what they post.

Do you have anyone else to add? Do you agree or disagree with me?
