I'm diabetic but I've found good blood sugar control through a proper protein to carb ratio.

I no longer crave soda at all. I've been soda free now for over a month. If I feel like a fizzy drink, it's club soda for me. :-D

Absolutely. In fact, I'm going to buy the brain bucket variety made by Bell for city cycling.

Well, you've traded a job that you love for an unknown. I've made this mistake before and it ultimately cost me in terms of stress eating. It might be better for you to try to develop better personal eating habits. Of course, as I write this, I'm in the process of taking a heaping teaspoon of my own advice.

I count carbs because I am a Type 2 Diabetic. I try to keep my meals in the range of 40-60 carbs and snacks at 20-25 carbs. I also try to use good quality carbs whenever possible: i.e. whole grains, fruits, oats, etc. For my birthday I had one slice of cake which jumped my blood sugars 100 points. I felt physically ill…

I don't love Diet Coke and it sure didn't love me. I used to drink almost 6 litres a day - ain't that crazy? Since stopping ALL soda, I have far less cravings and hunger. This journey is so much easier without the fake sugar! I get my refreshing carbonated feel by drinking Dasani Sparkling Water with Black Cherry or Lime…

Does it matter which is worse? Both are harmful. Enough said.

My motivation is reversing type 2 diabetes and getting off of insulin. Even though I've only been diabetic for a month, I'm already sick of sticking myself with needles. Life is just plain too short for this.

Don't skip meals. Eat balanced, nutritious ones. It is not just eating at a calorie deficit, it's also eating nutritiously and regularly. You not only need to consider calories, but also carbs. I always recommend someone see a registered dietitian specializing in weight loss. Certainly, it does cost something but it is an…

Yes, it is not much fun at all. I went through it after getting diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Keep up the hard work. It may take a week or two before you start feeling better.

Not all fast food is garbage. The key is making good choices and this is where MyFitnessPal can help. What I do is plan ahead and look up the nutrition on MFP first so that when I walk into the joint, I've got my game plan. I went to a Chipolte for lunch and before even ordering, I looked up a few things. I ended up making…

I respectfully disagree and studies that show people as successful in long term weight management have not solely relied upon themselves. They've had assistance and have given assistance and encouragement.

Very good work!!!

I'm looking forward to the game and I think I'll have some traditional wings but not breaded. It'll be mostly protein but satisfying nevertheless.
