Wow  You look great! You said you didn't recognize yourself. Did the weight creep up on you or was it just a realization thing? (I had a similar experience but I've always been overweight/obese.) Also good luck in school =)

At first I didn't touch my exercise calories. After I got my Fitbit though, I started eating into them a little bit. I use them as leeway if I'm still hungry, which lately has been often. But I'll only eat back maybe 50% of them max due to not trusting the measurements. On days I do 20k+ steps it tries to give me 1k+…

That's so awesome Anna! Congratulations!

This. I'm only 23 pounds down, but as soon as I realized I could change my body, my confidence shot up. I'm no longer insulted by discussions about my weight, nor am I in denial. Some days I feel super skinny even though I'm still a little over 200 pounds. Weird, right? Anyway, physically, with the first 10 pounds I…

I saw the pictures before I read anything and my exact words were goddamn. That dress looks gorgeous on you! That's a 5 month difference???? I suddenly feel more motivated

I know  I could probably lose faster if I REALLY wanted to, but I'm in a happy place right now where I can eat a satisfying amount and still lose those 1.5-2 pounds a week if I get my daily steps in. It feels really slow in action, but once it's over it feels so fast!

I'm hoping to shed the last 6 or so pounds and see the 190's on the scale soon =) I lose about 10 pounds a month so it's slow, but I'm so close I can taste it.

I found the turkey chili recipe! Am making it again tonight. It's pretty good, but I make it with half ground beef and half turkey. It tastes a little too bland for me with just turkey. http://dailyburn.com/life/recipes/healthy-turkey-chili/

My mom mentioned the rice haha. "We" don't eat brown rice, I'm the only one in the house who eats brown rice. My mom ordered it tonight in her burrito bowl because I choose brown rice over white rice in my lunches, and she's been trying to copy some of my meal choices. The problem with the texts is that my brother then…

I also only log my water for that reason. I'm hesitant to log other things because the water I take is meant to hydrate and cleanse. Other drinks might add more stuff. That's how my mind sees it anyway. I've also found it easier to enjoy water simply by changing what I drink it out of. I got one of those 32 oz bottles with…

I don't enjoy constant aggressively sarcastic remarks and spam if that's what you're insinuating.

In this particular conversation, I originally declined food from chipotle and was asked why. Hence the answer about sodium. I am going to just not use the family chat anymore, but he still does this in person when I can't only respond to my mom.

It's not easy to edit posts on my phone x_x But yeah. Any tips to simply get him to stop would be nice. If I ignore him sometimes he blows up my phone with repetitive nonsense.

So this pretty much summarizes every conversation regarding food that my brother is involved in. Every time my mom texts us both, he gets toxic super quickly. He tries to establish his own credibility through commonly known ideas. He brags about his friend who is a personal trainer. And then he acts as annoying as possible…

I think if it's just tea and water with nothing else added, it's not really different than flavoring your water to help get more down!

It's a strange feeling at first to be like "I am not hungry why am I eating." I was always taught to finish my plate or face punishment. Pretty awesome when you can stop in between being satisfied and full!

Well that's a relief. I've only had my Fitbit one for two days. Everything else was syncing, just not steps, and no solution would work. Glad to see I'm not the only one :p

If we're talking for the calories, probably boiled cabbage. If we're talking for the volume, chicken, or a soup/chili with a lot of beans.

I feel you. I'm happy with my progress but I'm also impatient at times waiting for it. It may be harder to lose the weight without the surgery, but it'll be easier to enjoy your new body without it.

I am officially 20 pounds less than where I started =) 228.2 to 208. Getting so close to the 100's that I can *feel* it. On a weirder side note: One of the things I hated the most were my thighs. I used to poke and pinch my inner thighs allll the time. My thighs are still huge, but there is a NOTICABLE difference in how…

I also tried the first day of C25K when I started at 228 pounds, but I didn't wear socks that covered my ankles and my shoes skinned them raw. I also brought my dog, who couldn't keep up haha. She loves to run so I thought day one wouldn't be too intense for her. I miss being able to run around as a kid, so running a 5k is…

Ooo sauerkraut. Tell me how that goes  for me, the stuff is either really good on a sandwich, or one of the most disgustingly pungent foods known to mankind. There is no middle. Fermenting stuff sounds fun though, to be honest!
