I don't know if this would be much of help. My personal exerperience, whenever I needed to get those last few pounds and it's not coming off, I adjust my calories, but not to go anymore in a deficit, I actually added more calories to see what would happen and to my surprise the weight was going down. Just try adjust your…

You got to find what is fun to you long term. In my case I used to just do the normal weight lifting: arms and chest Monday, Tuesday quads, ect. That got boring fast then I got into crossfit, took a while to find something fun but it worked out in the end. Try hiking, weight training, dancing, and crossfit for example.…

Well Tyrone magnus is one person who is promoting the bs on youtube (1 mil subs). Late reply sorry. But lil bro is not doing it as far as I know now. It's been a couple of days since I posted. So that's a update.
-
Okay, guys again thank you for your insights and concerns. It really is appreciative and helpful. Also I apologize if I didn't fully been clear about the whole situation as this is a sensitive topic on my family's perspective, concerning other issues. So I didn't really want to disclose more details than already given. But…
-
So do I and I apologize. Should've been more clear.
-
Exactly.
-
No I'm more of the health guru in the family and I lift/exercise for the most part, I do like my games from time to time though. I always try to plant that mindset onto my lil brother. And yes that's the video. I've been educating him since last night that the video he saw isn't entirely a good idea, he's understanding a…
-
I agree completely and I apologize. I should've been more clear on the matter.
-
Read my other posts, they have been stepping up, I just created this topic for extra insight and such.
-
Well he will be getting help soon, but not from the topic of fasting. Something I can't really discuss.
-
Me when I woke up and went on my own thread.
-
I will suggest that, thank you.
-
Pretty much. I'll see where this goes in the future tho and maybe if it happens again, get some help from doctors and such.
-
The cause of stress is because of what my lil bro is involved in at the moment aside from the fasting. Basically he's all the attention right now. And again yes they should've noticed what was going on the first day which I can understand how you guys feel the way you are. Thank you for the feedback. And yes I did figured…
-
Actually they were not neglecting him, my lil brother was involved in something much more serious than this fasting phase, so their attention was on that part a bit more of his life; which I can't go into details. Sure they should've noticed what he was doing that one, I can see where you are coming from and yes they do…

Guys chill out with the abuse bs. My parents found out the same day he was on day 4 as I did, which was YESTERDAY. In fact my dad and mom had a long talk with him. He's a teenager, when I was once a teenager I tried my best not to let my guardians know what I'm doing, I was very stubborn just like he is. Plus in our…
-
For sure that's a good idea about encouraging him; kind of like reverse psychology, I'm more like the nagging sister or the type to brag about his favorite sweets in his face though, it'll be hard on my part lol, but I'll be sure to try it. And yeah I'll keep you guys updated.
-
That's exactly what I've been telling him. He is stupidly stubborn, is all I can think at this point.
-
I don't know, I hope so. Like I said some previous posts back, I've left some brownies lying around, it hadn't been touched so far, but when night comes, we will see. Lol.
-
Yeah I saw your original post and I agree completely, I told him about what you mentioned and what refeeding syndrome was, he did have some second thoughts but then proceeds to say he's done the research in fasting and nothing will happen to him. But thank you, I'll be sure to push the topic a bit more.
-
True. I'll be sure to try that. I've asked him why he hates himself so much to cut out food and that it'll f*** with his metabolism. But all his response was "it won't, I've done the research." Ect. Smh. Anyways thank you.
-
Exactly! Well said and inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
-
Right? I just don't understand his logic. Thanks for sharing.

You would need to work out your BMR with your current weight and then associate that with activity levels to add towards your TDEE which would be your maintenence amount of calories, in order to lose weight, you will need to be at a deficit of for example 20% calories less than your maintenence.
-
No, It will not have a impact, 300 calories over maintenence is not that much to gain any form of fat or weight especially if it's only a 2 time thing. I suggest just eating as you'll normally do the next day. (As in fixing the mistake and eating normal the next day, we're all humans mistakes happen and move on)
-
Lol I've been doing that all day today. Even bought some brownies and soda, we'll see by the end of today it's all gone.
-
Yeah I already informed my parents, they've told him a bunch of times about it not being a good idea, yet he still insists on it, so ridiculous. Thank you guys, it's nice to know that you all have the same opinions as me. I'll try to convince him, he's on day 4 btw, I just found that out today.
