It's a strength training programme specifically for women. It's by Brett contreas. I'm really enjoying it so far 😊

I'm also searching for friends haha if anyone's reading this feel free to add me 🤣 I'm currently training for a half marathon and doing the strong curves program too

Thanks for everyone’s messages. The community on here is so great and really helpful. I weighed myself this morning and I’ve actually lost 3 pounds. Nice surprise. I’ll take the advice on board and start weighing regularly. Thanks everyone. Really appreciate it :)

I guess I don’t have the same fatty mindset I had before :’) my relationship with food has changed, and I feel my ability to eat as much as I used to is impossible because my stomach won’t stretch as much haha! I do weigh my food. I genuinely don’t know if it’s a coincidence or not but as soon as I started on iron tablets…

This is what I thought too 🙈 until this weight loss stall. It’s been 1 month. Urgh so frustrating. I weigh myself once every 2 weeks. I’ve never heard of Libra or happy scale [/quote] No one stops losing weight because they are not eating enough. It's not scientifically possible. How long has it been since you lost any…

I guess I could go for full fat milk and Greek yoghurt 🙈 but I can’t imagine that adding a lot more to the intake. Everything else I eat is meat, veggies and whole grain carbs.

I’d like to be 9 stone. But I’ve not lost a single pound over the past few weeks and reading about in the forums I figured maybe I’m not eating enough. I’m finding it difficult to eat more as it makes me feel so sick and full! I weigh everything out religiously, hence how I managed to lose a stone and a half before by…

Thank you Roxie! Makes more sense now

I just did it now based on a 1.5lb loss a week. It’s stating 1300 calories daily. So should I continue eating 1700 calories a day and burning 400 at the gym? Some people are saying to eat back the calories burned through exercise? Clearly this would take me out of the deficit I’m trying to create. Haha awhh jeeez! Utterly…

It’s a formula I used from the insanity workout nutrition book. Worked well for me a few years back and now for the past few months, I haven’t shifted any pounds. I just don’t understand why. I’m doing the math and it I’m not seeing results

Thanks for the reply :) yes I weigh my food religiously. In the past 2 years I’ve gained a good 2 stone without changing my eating habits. Which is why I’m thinking it may be a thyroid issue. Urgh :(

First things first.... Don't panic! You sound extremely anxious. A little bit of stress is good as it motivates you to make changes. But if you keep over stressing it's extremely detrimental and gets you into a hopeless thinking mode. It's like 'learned helplessness' Congratulate yourself on being brave and admitting…

Missed this bit - usually an hour and 10 minutes at the gym. I know it sounds daft, but in the first few weeks of cutting down/exercising I never bother to weigh myself as my weight fluctuates so much. After a month to 6 weeks it settles so I'll weigh my self then

For work, I work in a hospital so I'm on my feet all day for 6 hours (according to the pedometer, I walk 6 miles on average a day) Some evenings I go mountain biking and some hiking on the weekends. At the gym I'm just focusing on cardio at the moment, bike, rowing and the eliptical machine. I'd love to start lifting…

I've been reading the other threads on here and the term 'starvation mode' seems to be a touchy subject! Oops! I'm using a polar ft7 heart rate monitor. Just out of curiosity, how would losing 1lb a week better preserve muscle as opposed to losing 2lb?
-
I work in a hospital, I'm literally on my feet 6 hours a day, but I normally mountain bike/hike in the evening :) If 2000 is a bit too much then what would be the best estimate? If I'm burning 700 calories a workout and eating 2000, my net amount is 1300. So I'm only over eating by 100 calories? Urghh! I really don't want…

Thank you all! Much appreciated! :)

thanks Rheddmobile. I did have an inkling it was too high. But I assumed it would be slow and steady at first. Really appreciate your response :)

Thanks guys! :)

Haha I get that. However, is it worth reducing the calories fron carbs? As opposed to fat?
