  • Anyone using continuous glucose monitors like Freestyle Libre, Libre 2, or Libre 3? Long term thoughts? My insurance doesn’t cover them because I’m not on insulin (yet) but since my sugars are problematic I was prescribed the CGM.
  • Hi there. I have actually been in this group before but I feel off the MFP wagon hard. I was diagnosed T2 in Jan 2019. I did awesome and managing it with just diet and exercise until COVID. Then overtime I gained all the weight I had lost back and my diabetes has been out of control since. My last A1C was 9.3😬. I just…
  • @Goowakjai well done! Getting off the meds whenever possible is ideal because it seems as though the meds put us into a cycle of being more dependent on them. Several studies show that but it’s hard to actually get off - so again I say well done!
  • I am back after an absence and technical issues as a bonus. My name is Laurel and I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2019. I had an A1C of 6.4 at the time. I had done really well managing my diabetes in 2019, losing 34 pounds, staying off meds, getting my A1C to 5.4 with just diet and exercise, but then, you know -…
  • 6759 steps. So I think I joined too many groups and took on too many challenges. I’m trying to do a couch to 5k with a race scheduled 6/1. I start a weight loss program 4/6 - for 6 weeks to lose 20 lbs. I joined a Pilates studio and have - 3 month contract plus 4 one-on-one sessions I joined a lose 1 lb a week group on mfp…

  • I primarily use a OneTouch VerioFlex because I like the app. I also have the OneTouch Verio IQ. I have tested side by side multiple times and the tend to be within 5 points if I use the same batch of strips.
  • I’m just using the OneTouch App with my Bluetooth OneTouch VerioFlex meter and I sync it to Apple ihealth. What is the difference between all these appa vs what already works with the meters?
  • Hi there, I’m Laurel. I was just diagnosed in January as T2. I feel like I am just kind of left out here with no clue what to do. I have Kaiser and they referred me to a class but that’s all the way in May. So in the meantime I am trying to fix things myself with changing my lifestyle. I am still pretty under control…
  • Hi all, I am not sure how many of you use a Garmin but there is a newer feature for many of the tracker models called Garmin Coach. You select a coach and then you get a training plan from that coach to get you ready for a 5K. I just finished my second week. I selected Jeff as my coach and my 5K in June since I hate…
  • 10971 steps yesterday Bad eating though. I am so busy all the time that I Judy done have the time to meal prep and as a result fall for temptation. Ugh
  • Going shopping for running shoes today. I am going to try to do one of these couch to 5k regiments. Heaven help me through, because - I HATE running! Something has got to change so its time to embrace the suck.
  • Had a good day today. Got a short cardio workout in, spent time with my husband, didn’t eat too much and drank water. Happy Valentine’s Day all! Hope it was great for you all
  • Hi there. New to this group but not at starting weight loss. This time it needs to stick as I was just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and I am sure my weight (and age) is the primary reason. Anyone here need to lose 40+ pounds that has a diabetes situation?
  • When I was young I weighed 117. I ended up gaining a ton of weight as I aged and was up to 182. I lost a lot and got down into the 130’s. Looking at my body then I really couldn’t imagine being back around that weight again. It seems way to skinny. Maybe because I focus now more on having muscle and good health over just…
  • Hi there. I am newly 40 and looking to turn things around. I live in the greater Sacramento area and like to spend time outdoors and with my family but also I love movies and books. • Folsom here. Friend me if you like
  • I like this idea too! My goal is to exercise 4 times a week for 20 minutes to start and stay under my net calorie goal 5 or 6 out of 7 days. And not to go crazy on my day of rest
  • Hi I just got a Garmin so just starting out. I hate to exercise so I am trying to use all this as motivation and accountability. You scan add me if you like. I'm looking to loose 48 lbs and eventually do a spartan with my family. So here we go.
  • So I am currently 176.5. The chart says I should be 114-127. Just saw something that said medium frame is 124-130. My goal is 128. I have been all the way down to 92 when I was nursing my son. It's NOT a good look. I look best at no less than 125 so I guess I must be medium frame.
  • New and often unmotivated. Looking for accountability and motivation and people who can relate.
  • I was vegan for 4 years. Towards the end I was eating really lazy - translation: bean burritos and lays potato chips mostly. I put my self in a major iron deficiency. After 6 months of tons of supplements I couldn't get my iron up. So back to eating meat but no dairy. Slowly trying to go back by adding more and more…
