Trying to figure out how to end day - reading? It is too early to go to sleep.

Neighbor who has a wonderful dog was with a man with an armful of flowers for my neighbor - give me food instead. I hope she got dinner too.

    Wishing all a good night.

Had a good day today. Got a short cardio workout in, spent time with my husband, didn’t eat too much and drank water.

Happy Valentine’s Day all! Hope it was great for you all

    FRIDAY

    Good morning, TGIF

Another early bird! My plans are to work on dejunking/resting and making more meals to freeze. I keep forgetting I have Monday off - I have to use my own time off for holidays so it is a little :s but a day of rest would be welcome.
So I will start grocery and to do list today.

Luckily yesterday was not an onslaught of chocolate which may be a first.

Last day of rain for at least a week- 2 people I know had their backyard flood, so a break is needed.

Box of fruit/veg this morning at door - lost track of time, so luckily I can find a way to use all of it. I am planning on roasting green cauliflower - just saw recipe to roast with garlic and lemon both of which I have. That does sound yummy.

Lurking from work when I get there. Wave to all who follow.

    Friday
Yes TGIF!!!! I have a meeting with the IT site support guys at all of our hospitals this morning to keep them abreast of things my team has planned over the next few months. Always love talking to this group of smart, funny men and women!
Glad it is Friday. Carving out a day to get my house clean and a good run in with Baxter tomorrow, then I'm working to help my son and his girlfriend get our old house in shape to move in. I let my nephew move in to help him over a rough patch, but this ended up being a case of "no good deed goes unpunished." House is pretty much trashed, complete with holes in the walls and floors with caked on dog poo. We have to de-trash and get it cleaned up before Merry Maids will touch it for a deep sanitize. They have both been working tirelessly after work every day for the last 2 weeks and it still looks awful. I hope for their sake we can turn the corner of this, but I will miss him and Baxter the Wonder Dog when he moves.

    TGIF - I agree!
Suzu - that stinks. good luck on the cleaning! and wow! your hubby really came through!
Sara - do you belong to a service that you got a fruit/veg box. that would be nice sometimes. I was hearing on the news all the rain on the west coast. yikes.
Had dinner with my family. some nice steaks asparagus and potatoes. Was very good. and very nice to sit back and talk. my 2nd daughter lives with me - she is doing her internship to be a registered dietician. She too is engaged and they just put an offer in on a house. I will miss her when she moves ):

    Hi all!

Well, I splurged on Valentine’s Day... overate by 21 calories. Been really trying to keep caloric intake beneath my limit this month... it got away from me last month. But is still way better than when I was t trying at all.

@arniedog74 The protein boxes were awesome!! These are the two they gave me. Made for a great snacking day!

No plans today. Pain is easing up a bit. But still exhausted and tired. It is cloudy today. 😢 I really enjoyed the sun peeking back out for a couple days. This is our greyest winter since I’ve moved here.

    Have an awesome day 😎

Dang- retype as problem with website :)

Creamcheese pizza "crust" was a bust. Tasted ok, but not worth the extra calories.

Tilliesmom - thanks for the GF suggestion. I have tried many, not this one though & will definitely check it out. I find prepacked is mostly awful. The almond flour is good (crazy expensive) and oat flour is also good. Hit or miss with baking with these items.

Suzu - that is crazy bad.. I cant even imagine.

Going to dinner with friends tonite we haven't seen in 6 months. Looking forward to old fashions and good company.

    Cheers to Everyone!

Well, after 60 degrees for 2 days...we are well on our way to at least 4(+) inches of snow... ice this weekend and more snow next week. Dr's closed clinic early. Only cuz all appointments canceled. Got stuck heading home. Was rather embarrassed. A really nice soldier stopped to help me. Then, about 5 or 6 others came running to help. I was going up an incline from a dead stop (too much traffic) They hadn't cleaned roads well (just started about noon. Snow started about 9am) made it home with no other incidents. I am over winter for sure.

Saturday - Morning all! Rained all night, but I see a peek of sun coming through. Hitting my house hard and Baxter and I are going for a run later - will let the sun warm it up a bit first.
@brennerjib - Congrats on the daughter's engagement - Love having them home, but proud when they get out on their own too.
@hickchick67 - Liked that link - My office EATS and it is a struggle sometimes
@arniedog74 - Wow on the snow - Take care!
@stuba - Great to have friends in - hope the night was fun!

Wishing you all a wonderful Saturday!!

    Good Morning Everyone,

Dinner was great! The drinks were even better. 3 drinks, chicken breast smothered with a cream sauce and seafood was delicious, but I am sure very calorie dense. I didn't try to figure out how many calories and just indicated what it was in my notes. Thank goodness this is not an everyday outing...
I plan on doing a little more exercise and try to eat a little lighter today to offset a little of my calories last night.

Sun is shinning this AM giving me the happy lift needed from the winter blues.

    Happy Day to All!

    SUNDAY

    Good morning,

Already burned one pot of oatmeal being distracted by a yarn mess. Almost did same to milk this morning.

Groceries and then maybe a nice walk this afternoon.

Back for some more zzz with dog after breakfast. BBL.

    Good morning Sara~~

Sorry about your oatmeal. What a drag.
I hope that you get your nice walk in today.

It is cold and gray again in Illinois. I'm hanging in there, living in The House of Bread: Pasta, bread, rice, pasta, and more bread, cakes, desserts, and ice cream, with candy everywhere. No wonder my poor husband was overweight his entire life. Gah.

The weight seems to be holding steady at least. Last night we went out to dinner, and I got a very nice huge piece of fish with vegetables. Yay.

I need to read back many pages to get caught up.

Big hugs to all of you~~

    Lana

Marsel- looks like you are having a good time! Great pic!

Sara- hope 2nd batch of oatmeal is better. Darn yarn...

Lana- we just had another snowstorm on Friday. More coming next week. How about you? I've never been a big bread person, but I could eat pasta just about every day. Stay strong. Good choice with fish and vegetables.

Really cold day, today. Haven't left my house since Friday.. other than to take dogs out...I never complain much about winter, usually. I don't mind cold and snowy. But, this year, it's coldest and snowiest in a long time. I would definitely be ok if Spring came soon.

Going shopping for running shoes today. I am going to try to do one of these couch to 5k regiments. Heaven help me through, because - I HATE running! Something has got to change so its time to embrace the suck.

@kerttu73 Welcome to a really good and supportive group.

Morning all - Raining again here and cold. I woke early, but the rest of the house slept in today so one of those ... waiting..., waiting..., waiting... days. We are heading to the house of horrors to help get them get it cleaned up enough for move in as soon as my husband wakes enough to be functional. Deep cleaning specialists, pest control, cable company, carpet company coming to measure the bedrooms this week. stripped wallpaper in 2 rooms and 60% of bedroom painted last night. I foresee a Hotttt shower and lots of scrubbing later.

Baxter is my son's dog and they have both been living with us for the last six months. Son and his girlfriend are getting our old house ready to move back in and I am selling it to him, so Bax will be moving to his new house sometime in the next couple of weeks. We do have a dog, but she is a 14 year old Shepard with arthritis and social anxiety. She pretty much adores my husband, likes me, and the rest of the world is kibbles. No one else can even get around her. She tolerates her vet and one of the vet techs, but no one else can mess with her. She lives in my sun-room, making the entire back yard and that part of the house pretty much off limits to every one but us. She was not always that neurotic, and she is such an old girl that we are just letting her have a calm and peaceful goodbye.vnz36ods0nqj.jpg

Suzu my dog is 12 (next month 13!) and I am also seeing what I call "dog dementia" in her. How wonderful your dog has a gentle space to be in your house.

Tomorrow no rain which is a nice change. Very muddy areas when I go on dog walks.

    Wishing all a good night.
