I agree... Daily life activities shouldn't be considered as an exercise. As a rule of thumb, if you don't burn at least 500 calories doing something, don't bother logging it.

It's very easy to survive on 1200 calories if you follow the low-carb diet. It's the carbs which make you feel hungry. Once your body learns to burn fat, you'll feel just fine. The problem is maintenance. Once you hit your target weight, you'll have to learn to eat high-fat food for energy.

Yeah, I meant the Base Metabolic Rate. I live a rather sedentary lifestyle so 1200 calories is just fine for me. The only problem is the constipation.

My BMR is about 1600 so 1200 calories is a rather moderate cut. And I don't exercise every day. Although when I do, it's usually 1500 or more calories.

The problem is that it's crazily expensive. I used to buy wheat bran for like $1 per pound, but online it costs $20 or more. I'm on a low carb diet though, so I'd rather avoid anything with sugar or starch. I eat about 1 pound of vegetables a day, but it's mostly steamed green beans and broccoli. Doesn't really help.…

I used to eat wheat bran while on a diet, but that was years ago. They stopped selling it. I refuse to buy cereal while dieting, because of all the sugars.

You have to track it manually, if you want to be accurate. Losing weight is a simple math. Food adds the energy surplus and exercise subtracts it. After a few weeks, you'll see how much weight you lost, and then it's a matter of elementary math to calculate your base metabolic rate.

It's nice to be the smartest person in the room, almost anywhere you go.

Eating before bed is a waste of effort, because when you're asleep, you don't feel whether you're hungry or full. It's best not to eat anything.
