I am a nerd, married a nerd and am raising 3 nerdlings.
Just a bit curious about what other nerds love about themselves.
One thing about being a nerd for me is the different types of nerds and how the cultures of each overlap

    Most of my clothes are comic characters, video games and the daily discussions at home revolve around video games, comics, anime and anything Marvel universe

    Hubby and I are also nerds. We have a wonderful gaming computer and several consoles... man do we have entertainment!

    We have almost all the consoles made except a Game Cube, a Nintendo switch and a few older ones. My 5 yr old rocks at Minecraft and a few other Xbox games

    Husband LOVES Minecraft. Have you seen some of the more interesting videos online, like where someone made a never ending cat fountain? I'm currently playing The Crow's Eye.

    I love the enthusiasm nerds share even if it's totally different stuff they are into. And the overlap is great, as you said.

    I'm a book, film, fashion, graphic memoir, new wave/music obsessed nerd.

    I am so disinterested in superheroes, 99% of sci-fi, video games, and the like. But I find that I can REALLY relate to the passion & enthusiasm my nerd friends have for "their" stuff!!

    I'm a nerd in one aspect: gaming.

    I was addicted to gaming for most of my life, but I'm recovering. Unfortunately life's busy, and I can't play video games on the treadmill without falling off of it, so (at another MFPer's suggestion) I'm beginning to watch YouTube play-throughs during my cardio.

    I don't play Minecraft much. I am am trying to replay all the Kingdom Hearts games when I can get the tv that has the PlayStation. Otherwise I crochet.

    Tons of people have labs in their kitchen in my state. The media calls it a meth problem but now I know they're just nerds.

    Well, that is whole category of it's own. That's in the stupid category. On that note, my neighbor had a "lab" in his basement. He is now in jail. A tornado came through our area last month and dropped a tree on his house. It's a real eye sore. Maybe I should find ways to get my other neighbor to build a fence so I don't have to look at it anymore.

    I usually have random knowledge in my brain in just about anything that I've read or have become interested in. Even though I'm blonde and Polish I can be very intellectual when the occasion arises.

    Walking into a comic book store or any type of nerd gathering and knowing you automatically have something in common with everyone there and can make a ton of friends super easily! I love the community!
