Thank you for posting, you have come such a long way in a short time. Have you considered getting a dog? Then you would need to leave and walk your dog and least once a day and you can have easy non-threatening interactions when people say hi to your dog. We have a Rough Collie (the Lassie dogs) and I would highly…

Hi I have not had this kind of weight loss but when I have lost 30+ pounds in the past a few times after kids I have found weight training from early on in your weight loss journey to really help with keeping the body general tighter and "pulled together" as you lose. I found it helped to tighten up skin during and after…

I am talking about Sprezzatura, the Italian word for looking cool and elegant but in nonchalant, relaxed way - naturally well put together, definitely masculine, not overdone https://youtu.be/_QG4lTMjWtY

I do like a man who knows how to dress well with clothes that fit. I remember walking around Rome with my brother who owns a bespoke tailors and I was gasping at the sartorial splendor of the men, especially the OLDER men, 50+. Wow they really had it together, my bro agreed. No harm in looking good and giving women…

I have protein bars that are often my 3-5pm snack with a cup of tea. Protein fills you up and stops hunger pangs until dinner. Also make sure you are drinking 8 glasses of water a day, if you are dehydrated and ignoring it your body will crave food to get liquid.

I always dated quite short, confident witty guys who I found very sexy. My favorite coloring was dark hair, blue eyes and very expressive, and after being married a couple of years realized that’s what I married! My husband has gorgeous eyes, very sexy but is 6ft 2”. He is an introvert and we got together after he moved…

At the start of the lockdown last March I was already at home recovering from spine cancer so for me it was great to have more company as my two teens starting doing school at home and my eldest daughter came home from college for a few months. My goal for 2020 was to come off my Oxycodone and OxyContin (long acting and…

Welcome everyone! I agree with taking a slow and steady approach which you can maintain, I lost 30lb in 2017 and then had cancer in 2018 so now am back to lose again! I am confident I can do it and am using what I learnt in 2017. MFP was really helpful for the accountability of recording everything you eat and drink. I…

My husband decided to take me to a hotel for the weekend so I am doing my best, I am over my calories but just hoping I don’t gain! The last 2 days I have been over by about 200-300 calories but I am only eating 1200 when losing so I hope I am the same on Monday morning as Friday when we left (cross fingers). We have been…

I did a lifestyle program at my health club in 2017 and lost 30lb before being diagnosed with cancer, So as an alumni of the program I can have a free dexascan each year. They have one in their health area and you lie down and your whole body is scanned. I think many gyms have a different kind where you stand on a platform…

Hi all, so glad to see so many new faces! I paused for the holidays and then just spent January/February 2021 tapering down and coming off completely the OxyContin and Oxycodone I was taking since spine cancer in 2018. I am now completely opiate free! Have been for about 10 days now. If I need something for pain I take a…

Drink 8 glasses of water a day, often we think we are hungry when we are thirsty. If you wait too long to drink your body will tell you to eat to get the moisture from food, Get a really good nights sleep of at least 8 hours. Oversleeping and undersleeping messes with your metabolism and makes it hard to stick to a healthy…
