In January/February I tapered down and stopped taking all my OxyContin and oxycodone which I had been taking since spine cancer in 2018. Before I was diagnosed I had just lost 30lb and 2 dress sizes, I was weight training 3x a week and super fit, strong and healthy. Really strange to enter cancer treatment in the apparent…

Good news is I reached out to my sports club to get set up with a personal trainer who has experience with rehab after cancer and I…

I am 52 now but after my first child at 32 I lost all my weight from walking around the neighborhood with her in a carrier, plus watching what I ate. It was a steady loss over months.

Cheese is my down fall but it's just so yummy[/quote] Agreed! I definitely stay away from cheese when losing weight, other than a sprinkling to add flavor occasionally. My husband was so sweet, and brought me tea too, so didn't want to be rude 😄 it wasn't too much either. That became my breakfast and I stayed within my…

I am a 50 year old Brit living in America, currently 157.5lbs which is 11 stone 3.5lb. I wear a US size 8 in jeans and dresses., UK size 12. I find I go down a size for every 10lb lost. I was 147lb last May before I got sick and was a size 6US 10UK. I am 5' 5" but a petite build. I was 8 5 stone most of my life until kids…

People eat a lot more of foods that were considered "treats" then such as ice cream, cookies, pancakes etc. we only ate these occasionally.

I agree on portion size. The French still eat the same portions they did then and accounts for much of the reason they are the slimmest people in Europe (Italians are next). I am from England and the portion sizes have at least doubled since then, especially when eating out. In England at least, everyone eats out a lot…
