1. Find a sport you like where the exercise happens without you even thinking about it. For example, if you like to play soccer then you won't be thinking about your heart rate, distance traveled, time remaining, etc. while you're playing, you'll be thinking about getting that ball closer to the opponents goal and scoring.…

My method was probably overkill. I did a DEXA scan which told me exactly how much fat, lean mass and bone I have. Then I figured out how much muscle I can reasonably gain and how much fat I need to lose to have 10% body fat.

I'm very much near the beginning of my journey having started only a week ago. I have about 65 lbs of fat to lose. I've logged in every day and intend to keep doing it. Yesterday was the only day I didn't log my food because I ate a lot of stuff other people prepared and it was impossible to log it, otherwise I log…

Adding to the "find something you like" idea, try to find a sport you like that gives you a good workout without having to focus on it. For example, I do kickboxing which gives me a great workout but when I'm in the kickboxing class I'm not thinking about my heart rate, calories burned, time left, etc. I'm thinking about…

I had no idea. Good thing I just started recently so I probably didn't do any damage yet. Thanks!

Mine is very low in sugar: - 2 cups of greens (spinach/kale/etc.) - 1/2 avocado - 1/2 lemon - 1/2 cucumber - 1/4 cup fresh parsley - 1 cup coconut water serves 2 Very refreshing, I have it every morning.

I'm from Brampton, Ontario. I'm 35, trying to lose about 65 lbs of fat and gain 25 lbs of muscle. I'm eating a paleo-ish diet which is pretty clean. I just started so my advice will me limited but it's always good for people going through the same thing to support each other. Go ahead and at me, i check in every day.

I apologize for my statement, it was misleading. I think we all agree eating fruit several times a day is fine as long as it's not all you're eating. Let's move on.

I wouldn't say I struggled with binge eating, I just thought it was good for me so I ate fruit all day.

Which falls under sparingly...

Ok, so I'm seeing a pattern here in the replies. I should've been more specific about what I consider "a lot", "sparingly" or a "treat". What you just described is still in line with what I am saying. I usually have a piece of fruit for breakfast and some berries in my salads and maybe a bit as a snack. Some people, when…

I can literally keep eating fruit non-stop for hours. What you just described I would still categorize as sparingly.

Wow, I did not expect this much backlash... No, I don't have scientific papers to cite, I only speak from experience.... I can eat a lot of fruit and ingest a lot of calories that way and still feel hungry which leads me go way over my calorie target, that's why. I'll leave it to the OP to take from this what she needs....

Well, that's the lesson I'm trying to convey.

^^this. So the lesson is: completely avoid processed sugar and eat fruit sparingly. You can get the same nutrients from vegetables without all the sugar. Fruits should be a garnish or a treat.

I don't cook/prep anything during the week and I still eat fresh and tasty food for all my meals. It involves some work on Sundays but it's worth it. Here are some of the things that I do: - Vegetables: Jarred salads are the best and easiest way to get fresh vegetables every day without actually making a salad every day.…

Thanks. MFP's estimate is pretty generous - 874 calories for an hour. I guess I could just half it or something.
